1991 Mercedes E-Class. Parked it outside a hotel in my home town before christmas. Walked out about two ta three hours later after a meal to find it on fire!

Miss it sooo bad. 2.4lt engine. The power was unbelievable.

It also saved my life once. I was going down a road way too fast and suddenly a 90degree bend appeared. I couldn’t slow down in time. Took the bend, dropped a gear, the back swung a tiny bit but it stayed glued to the road. Needless to say I learned my lesson that day. I shudder to think what would have happened if it wasn’t a merc.

Hey. I am a student in college who wanted to do the same as that except I’m looking for commercial flying. Two years ago I paid to do a course to become a Personal Trainer. It cost me 1,500 euro and took me 6 months of evening and weekend classes. Now, while still in college, I charge 90 euro an hour and I have ten clients a week who I work with in the mornings, evenings and weekends for one hour per week. Clients stay with me for 10 weeks and if they feel they need more they are welcome to stay. I could have more but my finals are here and I want to do well. The expenses are minimal. Insurance is 200euro for the year and I paid 500 for equipment, but this is up to you.

What i’m trying to say is invest a little in yourself and you can have great returns!

Oh…I must strenuously disagree. I have heard a host of stupid questions in my day. Not that this is one of them, but they’re out there, I assure you.

Yes like the girl who came into the shop in university. She had to walk past the lake to get to the shop and the shop was right in front of the lake. She says “hi, could you tell me where the lake is?” I’m standing there looking at her as if she has two heads, which probably would not have helped her. I just point out the window to the lake which is 30 foot away. She says “thanks” and leaves. Everyone in the shop just cracks up laughing and then we feel bad that this is the type of person that our university lets in!

well im barely 23, and I recall doing most of those things (exept the ones tied to british culture solely, naturally)
Perhaps you are just living in the wrong country:confused:

Ya I must agree with you and I’m early 20’s. it is my view is that people living on a farm when they were young, like me, had a completly different childhood experienve than people living in the towns/citys. If we wanted to go to town it was a big trip. Also there was never a playstation in my house or a sega mega drive or the like. But yet we would go out in the morning and afternoon and only return for meals and medical attention:D If we wanted to climb a tree we had tens of choices and nettles were just something you put up with to get to the places which were fun.

Next time your flying at thirty eight thousand feet just remember that every single part of that airframe was built by the lowest bidder

And I’m about to start a ATPL course. Cheers mate!:D

Why are they not building it all in one place. It’s not like Airbus which has multipal countries to keep happy is it?

Harsh Arthur……but I must say I do find it hard to read. I’m so tempted to put a smile in here now, but I won’t.
