Have you another link that’s not a facepage? I am not a member.
I was for 2 days, seems nobody was interested in what I had for breakfast and I had no friends 🙁 I also breached several user protocols by wearing geography teacher glasses and having hair sticking out my ears and had to resign.

Moggy, the type is stressed the same as your RV, are RV’s OK’d for aeros in the UK? The aircraft would have not been doing “Aero’s” in the circuit area at Parafield. Newspaper “Aerobatics” can be anything from straight and level to 30 degree turns.
Nobody has said anything about medical problems may have contributed. Inattention or incapacity in slow flight from medical problems can have the same end result.

I like the blurry reinactment, all that control column wiggling and button pushing, they need to get better camera men that can focus a camera for reinactments 😀
Landing with one wing off with no rudder deflection, full flap down on the good wing and the fuse spoiler fully open? Does anybody else think this isn’t quite right?
One engine outlet was on full power for opposite assymetric thrust to help no wing, that looks right but the rest just doesn’t look right.
Somebody using a similar name to mine dared question the footage before on another forum

Can’t help those stirrers on the net

Two Captains? Reminds me of an aeroclub where everyone that flies is called Captain 😀

They just happened to have a camera to catch the repair?
I can see the “Reality programs” now stretching the just under three minutes of footage into an hours programming. With modern programming there is about 20 minutes actual show with the other 40 minutes being self promotion and advertising. With expurt opinion of how it was actually done and the perils of aerial repair, crossing to blurred out of focus “Reenactments”. After crossing back from an add break of 8 minutes they have to show 5 minutes of what happened before the add break just in case you missed it. The bit of actually putting the wheel on would be in the last 3 minutes of the program. 😀

Monoplane, doesn’t it make you wonder about the rest of the claims when they quote such figures? At a guess you would think a modern computor controlled fuel injected V8 of that power would use maybe 70 or 80 litres an hour at 65%? A comparative aero engine, say a 540 Lyc developing 300 HP would use up to 100 litres an hour or more at full noise and the Texan mob claim 30 litres an hour for similar power?
About the only American homebuild/kit aircraft that come close to manufactures claims are the RV series of machinery.
And yes we are starting to take after the Amerrycarn way of exaggeration and overblowing instead of the traditional understated conservative approach of the Poms letting actions speak for themselves. 🙁

Typical yankee spec’s, they quote a fuel flow of 30 litres an hour for a
460 HP V8 at 65% power? Pretty good figures but then again they are the greatest nation in the known universe. 😀

…..or…..it could be that he’s a zillion-houred pilot who actually knows exactly what he’s doing. 🙂

Generally after doing a zillion hours you start to get a bit responsable. As I said when your young, ten foot tall and bullet proof things can get a bit carried away. Most who have done a zillion hours are a bit wiser.

Would you let this bloke fly your million dollar aircraft?, the camera man is either as stupid as the pilot or isn’t aware of the danger he is in.

For the last two posters, why do most civilised countries not have the same problem as the US?

What does the actual 2nd amendment state? Is the interpretation that everybody has a right to a weapon or everybody has a right to be armed in defence of a nation? NRA has showed just how out of touch they are by suggesting armed employees for schools.
