If you are at a loose end for half an hour or so try this one done on a 419 scammer. I love it!
Absolute pisser, genius work. 😀
I might have missed it but I didn’t see anybody mention QI, Usually very funny and has an aviation bent with Stephen.

In over thirty years of VFR flying for a living (Remote area op’s as well) I only used a small wizz wheel pre GPS for groundspeed checks.
Meal set out on table for choosing 😀
Seriously, wouldn’t you just land?
The folks in the eastern block countries build a pretty good copy with the Zlin 137
Nice one Mark. Added bonus – smoke mod 🙂
Either that or all three have blown rings 😀
Looks like it stalled on rather than flying on. Would there have to be an engine strip with the wooden blades?
My old instructor said “If you can land an Auster, you can land anything”.
I would put the Auster in the Cub/Supercup level, pretty easy as tailwheels go.
I’d suggest something more like a Pitts, Supercubs are real pussycats and won’t get you thinking as much as a Pitts. The 4 is not as hard as a Pitts but I’d say you have to work harder than a Supercub. Being a bit taller than most I found the 4 a bit limited headroom wise. Aero’s with a fixed pitch aren’t a problem, just use your left hand a bit. I’d really suggest not doing aero’s with anybody in back, no matter what weight, it will let go pretty quick and violently. Once yoo master zipping round you will be amazed where you can get in and out of, they are a very capable machine. 😀
Always liked the Shortwings, trike or tailwheel they are an under rated aircraft
I fly low level for a living and have worked around windfarms, they are just another obstacle to work with. The power from them is usually underground, unlike the rest of the countryside. I have no objection to windfarms.
There is objection everywhere to windfarms, the problems thay claim are many ranging from
headaches/migranes from anybody within 10 kilometres
birds run into them and die (They say nothing sbout cars/powerlines)
birds explode when they fly near them
paint won’t dry if painted near them
horrendous noise anything from 5 K’s
pulses and pressure waves effecting windows for up to 5 K’s
NIMBY’s ya gotta lovum 😀

I see lots of ex air force wheels up around the riverina. A lot of stuff was scrapped at Toc. I’ve seen wheels like off Beuforts on the sides of all sort of agricultural machinery. Anywhere from deniliquin up the Griffith.
Very nicely proportioned Aircraft, has a lot of appeal.
