    Guys,

    Newforest, good idea, however, with the help of two unnamed good samaritans associated with the CAT (you know who you are) I was able to get onto Lee-on-Solent and survey N423RS (ex-Greenpeace PBY 28-5ACF). I was impressed with the overall condition of the aircraft. Believe me, there have been a few others that I have looked at that are in horrible shape – this one was nice for her age.

    I do not know the status of the aircraft (for sale?/sold?), but I am following the trail of breadcrumbs to find out. Hopefully I got the right email address for the current owner.

    I’ll let you know what I find out.

    Guys,

    Thanks for the input. It amazes me how some Cat owners will just about hand over the yoke, just for asking, while others closely guard it like it’s a Top Secret aircraft. I’m leaving for the UK today, it would be nice if I could get on base this weekend to take a looksey.
