I note on the site that a number of contributors have complained about the ACA website that is so out of date. I have been in touch with the new Communications Manager at ACA and he assures me that things are going to change. Hopefully we will see improvements in a day or two and thereafter prompt publication of photos and video clips as integration of HMS QUEEN ELIZABETH progress

cheers nick h,i kept meaning to email them & ask nicely for updates, but i never got round to it,
Liger30,good find & interesting blog you have there.

thanks ever so much for the photos youve posted cockneyjock1974 there muchly appreciated, its nice to know good progress is going on,heavens knows the ACA website has been very lapse with there updates! perhaps the the people incharge of the updates/webcams are helping out in other areas? i think im being a bit sarcastic, its just a wee bit annoying that we have no official images ( that i know off ) of the recent docking? of LB 03,thanks again for the imfo.

well both QEC covered by six type 45s seems ok, its just the cost/number of the future type 26 program seems a bit dodgy to me,they do need to be realativly cheap to run for the required numbers needed, more is always preferable than needed but…

I seem to remember that quite recently that the good doctor (fox, that is) said that the MOD budget is broadly in balance, presumbly thats after all the cuts,if they on target & will get a small increase in budget in a few years-thats got to be good for their future force 2020 (such a crap name for it) plans. i will certainly be there.

all the photos you post are greatly appreciated cockneyjock1974,im sure your scrapbook your creating will be awsome by 2014 not to mention a wee bit heavy !!! the F35 would be preferable to the hornet on a one for one basis but the hornet still is pretty good i think.

Thanks for posting the photos cockneyjock1974,it may sound a stupid question but is that part of LB01 bow section on the left of the crane, just below the babcock sign on the building? its good to see her finaly in the dock,i was half expecting to see a time lapse video of the process on the ACA website but alas no,yes i would dearly love to see royal navy on the planes, even half the number of superhornets you sugested would be awsome!!! not to mention the hawkeyes with RN on the sides,

could the hawkeyes still be used as a aew platform as well as a tanker? ,thats sounds like a very logical idea, two for the price of one, think youve hit the nail on the head, presumably spares would be no problem.

good photos cockneyjock1974,thanks,i was getting eager to see her in the water, looks like they waited till today so you could be there! i assume there going to wait till tomorrow to actually put her in the dock, cant really see them doing it the the dark-that would make all a bit nervous!

it does look as if the F35c is safe, but im just not sure if we would have enough of them when the catobar carrier is in service,i do think it will be better than the hornet, its just the numbers forecast that will be avaliable that concerns me.

I think im just to impatient & want to see a british fixedwing aircraft carrier at sea again, only 2020 seems so far away!

its good to have allies where we can train with,2018-2020 whats another couple of years & 14 airframes or so between friends, was the lybain operation happening 2years ago? im just saying this carrier gap isnt good and the shorter it is the better? ,:dev2:i know its all down to poloticians,as we all know they make the best decisions? i dont see the RAF as evil, but i do admit i would like to see a small number of dedicated FAA for fleet defence/strike etc, even buddy-buddy refueling, recon,in the strike carrier context i see the RAF as like the cavalry in times of extra need.

I cant argue with the fiscal situation,my point was to point out that 20 or so fully worked up FA18 superhornets by 2018 (maybe a catobar carrier would be in service by this date?) or before would be better than 6 or so F35 by 2020,it just seems so far away.
