    Yeah we must take Russian help to make out new CAT, so that it comes out on/before schedule and to ensure that it dose’nt end up like the LCA.

    And The Super Hornet is way better than the Block 70 F-16…i mean its as obvious as the fact that the Su-30 MKI is way better than the latest mig.

    and also, the version of the F-16 offered to India is an exclusive never before one and will be called block 70.

    So what this Block 70 made of ? Anybody..

    i dont know why F-18 is considered when F-16e is better in every respect and has lower price.

    – because of twin engine.

    IMO, F-18 offer is serious one since the requirement is for a strike A/c which can defend itself. It is also twin engine and comes with all the goodies. But I am still confused about the reports that some say co-production offered and others not.. anybody ?

    For F-16, Lockheed has offered co-production and transfer of tech.

    Expired student Visa – This is not a justification for pumping bullets in the head. In that case, there are millions of illegal immigrants on both side of the atlantic. Atleast this guy has some of official record to keep track.. what will happen if somebody come as illegal… think about it.

    IMHO, this guy was at the wrong place at the wrong time.. If we follow ‘shoot to kill’ policy then what is the difference between the so-called civilised society and the terroritst… 😮

    Do you ask because a good many Israeli systems have been “combat proven”? If not then as has been pointed out the question is a little silly since most of the latest systems have not been “combat proven”.

    Dan, U are right. Since most of the Israeli stuff are combact proven or designed based on combat experience.. I have read in some reports that it has failed in some testing especially in India… anyone.. :confused:

    IMO, F-18 superbug with AMRAAM is a formidable opponent in sub-continent conditions. It can be used effectivily as a Bomb truck also…

    Why not F-15 Eagle.. eventhough it is MKI class, the neighbours will think twice before taking their fighters out of the hanger.. 😀

    I would certainly prefer more su-30 MKI over F-18. If F-18 can be considered why not Rafale? But seriously I hope its the M2k-5.

    MKI is different class when compared with super bug. IMO super bug does not fit the MRCA requirement. it is a big slow moving A$$. 😀
