Sameer, I agree with u. It is pathetic to complain here. The same person(s) who complains will ask his financial adviser which company is making good and try to invest there..

My question is how come a company can perform quarter after quarter in this highly competitive world. The answer is cost reduction… part of which is outsourcing..

First (in US) they outsourced most manufacturing jobs to China.. no one cried….because the IT was booming and stock market bull. Then the IT collapsed , few people made billions and most made bankrupt overnight. Then the recession started and Iraq war … etc… Now people like Lou Dobbs in CNN keep screaming outsourced job to India.. but he will later go to the money program which he hosts and recommend the same companies to investors.. LOL..

Remember Lou Dobbs never talks about job outsourced to China.. that is always a mystery…

    anybody ?.

    Well,
As long we are speculating .. :dev2:
    Scenario1
The GE 404 tech transfer…good bye Kaveri and uprate the GSQR for Kaveri-2 without Kaveri-1 ever seeing the light of the day…or for that matter Kaveri 2
    Scenario 2
Ge-414=Kaveri …LCA supercruises… :diablo: that should be worth whatever billions IAF is dishing out

As for mods to the F-16/18 onboard equipment..not much scope there….the whole deal, if it ever happens, will make a ripping sound anyways

Atleast a hint could make the French offer the M88-3/4 joint development:D

Lets talk about GE404- I believe the american engine performance is better because of better materials and electronics used in the engine. Taking into account the tech transfer Will the sensitive material technology transfered ? I guess this argument stick with other aircraft components also..

the apg-80 has a 70-80-mile range against a l-meter-square target(aviation week) which is a great leap of the legacy f-16 radar…so i pretty much think the indians (hypothetical scenario /if and when that happens) would go for the AESA as its ability to perform many tasks as well as leap/hop frequencies gives it an LPI advantage over anything available currently..Now comming to the other targetting suite..i really don’t think any more change is required accept in some areas where equal compatible technology is available from the isreilis and/or the french and british or even better AT HOME..the indians might want to incorporate the TARANG on the aircraft something LMA should have no problem doing…The IFTS detects infrared images and provides the pilot with passive, long-range acquisition and tracking of airborne and ground targets, day or night. The system will be packaged as a low-drag installation. To compensate for humidity in the region, the Desert Falcon’s(UAE’S AIRCRAFT) IFF’S will feature “mid-wave Flir technology,” ..

I REALLY DONT THINK THAT ANYTHING MORE THEN THIS IS REALLY REQUIRED UNLESS OFCOURSE THEY WANT TO GO TO THE DRAWING BOARDS AGAIN..IT BASICALLY HAS ALL THE LATEST TOYS U NEED TO MAKE INTO A LETHAL STRIKE ORIENTED MULTI-ROLE FIGHTER SPECIALLY NOW THAT IT CAN DROP 4 1000 POUND JDAMS…

Indian mission computer possible ?. If the deal includes complete transfer of tech then this is possible..

Well the german offer is hard to refuse the price is really low considering that India would get not only some nice new subs but also an upgrade (including the same AIP system) for their Type 209s.
I just don’t know why HDW makes such an offer. There are a lot of navies who would buy these subs even without such a ‘generous’ deal. 😉

The deal is more to do with politics than commercial. 😀

Meanwhile, the IAF has issued a request for information involving 100 advanced air-to-surface missiles with a 200 km range. The request has gone to Israel Military Industries, Boeing of the US, Denel of South Africa and France’s MBDA

What are the missiles which fit into this requirement ?. Anybody ?

I read in this month Flight International that Israel is offering DHRUV for Turkey Armed forces requirement along with KA-50. It looks like the package is KA-50 + DHRUV. Any one has more info on it.
