The article claims that the Brahmos can target and land in a football goalpost 300 km away.

How does it acquire the target ?.

ok apart from 30 or so MKI. the rest are 20 years old mirages and mig-29 whose radar and PGMs are not better than Paf Mirage-3. so where is the 4th generation aircraft. and how the author put $60m price on F-16 and years to build. when old and MLU options are quicker and cheaper. this person knows nothing about aviation and he writes article about it.

Star, it looks like he knows more than you by going thru your previous post in other threads

Roll-out for the first Gripen for Hungary

At a ceremony in Linköping on March 27, Saab presented the first Gripen to be delivered to South Africa. The ceremony marks the progress of a very important program for Saab. Over 100 guests gathered to take part in the ceremony. The ceremony took place in the presence of the South African Defense Minister Mr. Patrick Lekota and the Swedish Defense Minister Mrs Leni Björklund as well as representatives from the South African MOD, the South African Air Force, the South African Ambassador to Sweden. From Sweden, representatives from FMV, Saab and Gripen International were also in attendance.
The roll-out of the first South African Gripen is a significant milestone in the Gripen for South Arican program.
“For us, at Saab Aerostructures, the South African deliveries are important from many perspectives. Of course we are pleased when Saab gets export orders. This means indirectly orders for us as well. The orders might give Saab important reorders in the future and South Africa as user of the Aircraft will show other countries that Gripen is the best choice. I am sure South Africa will make good PR for us at Saab when using Gripen under NATO banner”, says Stefan Rönnmark, Program Director within Saab Aerostructures after attending the ceremony.

In his speech, the South African Defense Minister Patrick Kekota emphasized that the progress in the Gripen for South Africa program is a result of the fine collaboration between the two countries.
“I must conclude, this is a beautiful aircraft and a technological wonder. I am looking forward to next year, when this and other aircraft will land at Louis Trichardt air base”.

    Any pic ?

dude, the F/A 18s have just entered the bidding process. The above is what the IAF wants. If Boeing offers an attactive package for the Super Hornets then it will be a political decision to buy it.

And you are such a joker to say IAF “cannot afford” M-2K9s with a budget for $9 Billion for 126 jets or close to $75 billion per unit. Don’t they teach you some basic math at GIKI?

Either way, IAF will have about 400 jets that are better than F-16 C/D which MAY be armed with a few AMRAAMs and which may arrive if the US feels Pakistan’s cooperation is good enough to warrant it in 3-4 years time.

Sheesh. I don’t know how shameless one has to be to keep releasing BS after being banned a dozen times.

AMRAAM, I doubt that will be delivered (both for India or Pakistan).
