    It seems that China has rejected the the N-011M Bars radar and also the Su-27SM upgrade package. I think the Pero has also been rejected.

    I think China is going with an indigenous upgrade package for the J-11. The J-11 upgrade package can also be used to upgrade China’s existing Flankers.

    Probably following India’s way.. Russian Airframe and western avionics… :diablo:

    wind tunnel models can be used to gather intelligence to some extent..this is something I learned on this forums.

    Remember they also showed Rafale model…in wind tunnel..next thing we know:
    “ProtonRiver Reports that China is Copying Rafale”

    Just add some sweep to the K-8’s wings and it would look like a Hawk.
    Btw I’ve noted that the Hawk, Alpha Jet, K-8, FMA Pampa and the Super Galeb all share basically the same design. Any comments on why is that so?

    Fireangle, I agree with u regarding the arms race. But I doubt that P-3 will not be of much help for pakistan regarding stopping terrorists..because it looks like most of the infiltration is done along (land) Afghan and Iran border. So what pakistan need is effective border patrol and sensors and UAV’s.
    It is good to see a comment like pakistan is trying to become moderate state.

    I thought the americans paid for that..but we should charge them for the trouble the heroin causes, its not like Afghan Gov is blind and cant find acres of opium farms…Another good idea, fix the planes, fly em to afghanistan..first offcourse strike the opium farms and Dostum with napalm 😉 and do the world another favour. Thats the only fair deal I can really think of.

    Why u are harsh on Afghans.. They are trying to rebuild their country after all the cold war mess..
