Looks like the website doesnt allow hot linking…:(
I believe in unstable FBW aircraft the FCS constantly makes minute movements of the control surfaces to keep the plane flying as desired compared to ‘stable’ airframes. hence the actuators (from Moog) need to be really heavy duty.
you can see 4 prominent bulges on wings of Rafale prototype here:http://ftp.cs.uu.nl/pub/AIRCRAFT-IMAGES/Rafale.jpg
on production rafale they seem to have reduced that to two perhaps by combining the actuators.

Wise,
I am still not convinced. It looks like over size to me.. 🙁

I was in the display and i swear when it was flying even the visitors was looking at the sky.
The agility was simply amazing….
A pic of the Turns that it made in a display is also there as a paper presentation.
Why are the flaps actuators so big when compared to other similar A/C. Is it taking lot of load ????
Farce again???
😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀
Guys cool down and come back to topic…
Is this AESA going to be from scratch design or off the shelf purchase ???
How can you tell from a miniature plastic model?
no radome. which in my world makes it electronically scanned.. 😀 😀 I may be wrong..
Yes a serving US general:rolleyes:
Every country has a share of dumb generals..;)
What no coffee holders…………..:p
man.. we need caffeine every morning.
😮 😮
Indian AEW&C aircraft under development. Bombardier might also want to bid as the platform. This project should deliver 8-10 aircrafts over the course of its life.
Looks like the radar is AESA..
The SH is a mediocre plane and IAF was least impressed with it. The Mig-35 is not the best option on its own but if it can be souped up like MKI with indigenous, french and israeli avionics then it easily works out to be the most economical deal. If the french have given up on MRCA, then MIG can rejoice.
“The SH is a mediocre plane” – I dont agree with this. It may be a sluggish plane w.r.t speed. But I will bet on it for its avionics and missile systems. MiG can come nowhere near it.:dev2:
How much possibility of these are Chinese next generation jetfighter?
The first one called Wei Long? The Second one called Xue Xiao?
Who know what does those mean?
PS has endless possibilities:p
I personally doubt that very much………..really the writing is on the wall and it says “Super Hornet”.:D
My vote to SH.
Indian attack chopper in the works.
Apparently, it is already experiencing a partial avionics failure 😀
And of course, the Tejas is coming into its own.
What a finish from HAL.. Yankees will be proud of it.
What is happening to Phalcons… nobody talks about it.. any build pictures.. 😉
Scooter is going to like this pic. SH pilot waving the indian flag after flying display ….
Attraction of $$$$$$$ means “do anything” 🙁
