    Anybody know what kind of weapon was fitted on PV2 for the supersonic flight. This is a significant development. Also if this flight was successful it shows the maturity of the program. Kudos to HAL.

    what are the US components being put in??

    I remember someone saying the ‘LCA going supersonic’ pic and producing the shock wave cloud around it might be a fake because the phenomenon did’nt occur at cloud level ? Well here’s a pic of an F-18 doing the same at cloud level.

    This kind of stuff usually happens in a cloudy day. Also I am not sure whether the LCA pics is fake. The stuff around the A/c is basically water vapour sucked out of wings and airframes when it hit mach 1.

    Apart from AESA (still to be confirmed ??) and AMRAAM (??) there is nothing spectacular about the US offer.. The beefed up queen of skies (??) F-16 and the super-turtle F-18 are no special if they are going to be in service only after 5 years.. I guess IAF should ask for JSF :dev2:
