CAVOUR AIRCRAFT CARRIER PROPULSION SYSTEMS -The Cavour is powered by combined gas turbine and gas (COGAG) propulsion. The four LM2500 gas turbines, developing 22,000kW each, are manufactured by FiatAvio of Turin under a license agreement from the US company, General Electric (GE). The four turbines drive two gear units which provide 60,000shp each

Auxiliary power is provided by six Wartsila CW 12V200 generating sets, rated at 2,200kW each. Two shaft generators are rated at 2,200kW each

Looks like very similar.. even the power systems are same

    FLY NAVY 😎

Looks like NAVY projects are going at good phase.. Indian Navy knows what exactly it want… not like the other two services. It is time for them to learn from Navy.

All I know is that my cousin’s husband (laugh here) who was a submariner and still is in fact, and was part of a certain diesel kilo sub has been posted in Russia since September and will be there for the next two years. Since his Kilo sub was upgraded 5 years ago, i fail to see why and what they are doing in that cold country.

who knows, he wont tell me. 🙂

Did he tell if he has to tell you then he has to kill u. :dev2:

better quality pics. One is certainly the J-10 and the other is a JF-7 Simulator it seems.

Seeing the general reminds me of ‘kid in the candy store’ feeling.

That article says nothing about the Rafale and is almost certainly talking about the LCA.
If the Indian do opt for the Rafale, they may feel that in the short term they have the best capability but ultimately the Typhoon is the better plane for the money.

    come on.. tyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyphoooooooooooooooon.. 😀
