Interesting, thank you.
So is there a way of telling (like an index system) which pedals were fitted to different types, or is it a case of trial and error?

A nice addition to an already impressive museum.

Thanks. Do you know if the ‘K’ is a Percival number, or were these made by an outside contractor?
Rob
Yes, 26FP = Shackleton
Rob
No problem Martyn. Have emailed DC as well.
Rob
Really? Thanks for that FoxVC10 🙂

No idea on weight but its not excessive. I bought them cos i liked the look and condition. They also have a similar look (according to pilots notes) to Sturgeon pedals with the single bar and leather foot strap.
Just curious as to what they are off.
Rob
Thanks Martin & Tim.
Its a remnant from VZ795’s windscreen that appears to of disintegrated when it went in. I acquired it from someone who was present at the site via another collector.

Wyvern
Corner section from the later flat type one-piece windscreen that was introduced circa 1956 and came equipped with a wiper. A ‘P’ clip still fixed on the reverse was for the wiring to the E2A standby compass.

Jules, whilst taking the photo did the caption in front of it not give you the answers you needed? Its been so long since i looked at this piece i cannot remember what it actually says.

David here is a photo of Firebrand TF.5A EK621 racing no ’81’ at Elmdon in 1949. This was i believe the eventual winner of the handicapped race involving both the Sturgeon and Hornet.
So now we have three of the entries. Anymore?

It was the ‘attacking unescorted bombers’ that i was unsure about Baz, as i gathered it was more for protecting the fleet – but yes as a fighter.
Nevertheless i’m always happy to be educated :).
