Already mentioned at post #785 Nick 😉
You mean like this one? 🙂 Very nice EE Lightning tail fin.
That’ll get the rumour mill going Tin Triangle.
Have to say its always good to see and hear the Catalina flying around here, and i have to agree with DB about her blisters. Maybe one day! 🙂
Yep, can’t wait to see it myself, what a pair to see flying!
Getting like your neck of the woods here Rob, but with far more interesting aeroplanes!:D
Too right James. But naval types are always far more interesting ;). At this rate it’ll be RNAS St Athan 😀
The Sea Prince will be next to arrive at St Athan. It will be brought by road, and yes we will look at trying to get that airworthy as well.
Great news HFL. If anyone can do it then i’m sure its you guys.
I can vaguely remember her flying from nearby Bourn airfield many years ago, as part of the Rural Flying Corps and usually in company with a Piston Provost.
You managed to look that far along? 😀
Good news about the Pembroke James, but i would be even happier to see the Sea Prince receive some work and return to the airshow scene. And i presume thats what you mean by ‘orange and grey’?! 🙂
As long as its dry, i can put up with cold and windy (just!).
That looks stunning in wartime colours, and with a top turret fitted. Can’t help feeling a bit jealous that it wont be flying here in the UK :p.
Stunning rare sight of something a bit different (albeit three of them :)).
Could it be for the back seat of a training aircraft? What did the rear cockpit of a Wyvern look like?
Only one was ever produced steve p, and a contract for the T.3 was never awarded!
It didnt really last long enough either to even think about fitting such equipment for carrier use.
No Rob, its a VI.. as in George VI 😉
For what its worth, and bear in mind i’m no expert.. but it looks like nothing to do with the Wyvern that i know of 🙁
Interesting Denis. Have you ever found all the pieces to complete one? Now i just need to find the rest. 😀
😀
If it is then it was a very small bog.
