Westland Wyvern… No less than three different engines of two different types (piston and turboprop). Deepened fuselage and modified mainplanes, constantly updated tail unit and flying surfaces, canopy, propellers, and not to mention the numerous changes made to refine an engine designed for bomber aircraft and make it suitable for use in a strike fighter. The list is endless!
NB.. Not forgetting seven years of development from first flight to release for squadron service.
