Personally, I like the Google Maps view of Sarasota Int Airport, (Florida) two AC on the main runway playing chicken! Indeed multiple shots “stitched” together. For a while, they had a 737 coming out of St Petersburg/Clearwater on top a ghost of another 737, looked really odd, but they have updated that pass.
Left hand drive? Nonsense!! It just has the pointy thing on the wrong end…drive her backwards!:D
Saw it listed as “Pilot Error” and it was during a snowstorm, owned by a Jerry Dwyer, don’t know much else, will keep looking
“Why so few” That’s easy THEY LOST! Good thing too!
Very cool, any pics? A good site? A rare, nearly lost type. How about a kingfisher to go with her!
lots of nice pics, thanks for sharing!
If you need ANY information about aviation prints new or old, check out this web site, I’m sure someone there will know

Here is a shot of her older sister, back when they were shiny and new, taken about 1958 from in my father’s days with the USAF

It IS the correct spelling for USAF usage. Just don’t try to use the box around a Spitfire, it will get confused and fly upside down!;)
That’s about a 3 hour drive, or more, depending on traffic. If I have anything going on over in that direction that might be fun to meet! Going to try to do Fantasy of Flight? Really great collection. They have warbird flights in Kissimmee. Sun-n-fun Museum in Lakeland, the Space Center just up the coast from you if you like BIG Rockets! lots to do

Armor, Armour….It does make a difference. I lost a grade on a major paper I did in school, “Arms and Armour of Medieval Europe” and the bloody minded “English” teacher marked me down a full grade for “misspelling” armor every time. My argument was that it was a piece about European history and used it’s spellings. My argument fell on deaf (and dumb) ears!
Being that your box has bad spelling on it, I will be glad to take it off your hands. My mailing address is….
Very nice find
Here is one from the 303rd

Lots of books to choose from, but the web is faster:eek:
Here is one of my favorite links, just have to do a lot of digging.

As far as I know the B-26 is still a flier and stays inside at night or in bad weather. The Connie is the only bird, aside from carcasses out back, that stays outside. Here is an aerial shot from a couple weeks ago….B-26 not in sight. Just the Connie in her usual longterm parking, the PBY on the ramp and a biplane of some sort out warming up.
Might try “Strategic Air Command”, a 1955 Jimmy Stewart film. Lots of great air, ground and cockpit shots of B-36, B-47, KC-97 and C-124s. Plot line a bit weak, but the aircraft are great!!!
