Nice Pics! Looks like the Typhoon was just idling along…doing what, about 200knots? Often hard for the fast movers to hang with the heritage airframes and fly in close formation.
Don’t ask, don’t tell!!:diablo:
Here is a bit of evidence for chasing it down

Great resource for quick movie/AC reference
My hat is off to anyone who rebuilds a warbird with their own blood sweat and tears (and just a bit of cash)! To make any old wreck a safe flier would mean replacing MOST of a heavily damaged airframe. If it were rebuilt just to sit in a museum, that would be a different matter all together.
I too, am curious to know just how much of the existing bits were used, but not to the extent that it might irritate the owner! The folks rebuilding the FW190 over at White1Foundation do have a nice diagram showing what is old and what is new, but then again, they had a bit more to start with!
If a mostly complete airframe is found, is it even ethical to replace 95% of it to make it flyable? There is the question!!

Nice web site. Don’t often see the B-17s of Coastal Command. Often an overlooked arm of the service. (if it isn’t a Spitfire or Lanc it isn’t worth looking at?:dev2:) Always liked the way Coastal commands paint jobs looked!
Congrats to all around! Well done!
When do we get to see pictures? Blue flames at night are really HOT!!:D
:(Too far away, would have to “borrow” a SR71 to get there in time! Would bee cool to hear and watch though!
My mother used to watch the big monster XC99 fly over when she lived in San Antonio. I saw the poor wretched carcass just sitting years ago…a huge sad sight. I read it is being saved by the AF at this point!

I’m on the wrong side of the pond for this sort of thing, but here is a link that may help, I’m sure there are some others about that will be of more help in your quest

So…just how much thrust can an APU provide?:diablo:
Funny, just last night I was chatting with a fellow cast constable (were working up Pirates of Penzanze) and he mentioned flying. I asked what and he said he was in F-4’s in Nam and then later a stint at Top-Gun. One of the most exciting things he did was put on a space suit and zoom climbed to right at 90 thousand feet.
Have to chat some more…..back stage whispers while waiting out turn on stage. Might have to have him over for a pint!
More pixels is always better, cost being the drawback. If you go with the lesser pixel count try to go with a better (lower) f lens. If you are contemplating using a 2x adapter, check the recomended f stop rating, I know a lot of them recommend only low f lens (read expensive)!!
Indeed, it is important to remember the “real” people, the courage and the sacrifice. My mother worked with a gentleman who had been in a Luft Stalag and when the TV series “Hogan’s Heros” came out he was mortified and quite angry at the entertainment business making light of such things!
Minimum (and they do meen minimum) Specs required, more is better!!!:diablo:
* Windows XP SP2 / Windows Vista
* Processor: 1.0 Ghz
* RAM: Windows XP SP2 – 256MB, Windows Vista – 512MB
* Hard Drive: 14GB
* Video Card: 32MB DirectX 9 compatible
* Other: DX9 hardware compatibility and audio board with speakers and/or headphones
* Online/Multiplayer Requirements: 56.6 kbps or better for online play
I would think a good place to start would be to chase down folks who have already rebuilt 109’s as they are likely to have built theirs from several crashed/damaged airframes and may have spares.
…or learn to speak Russian and practice haggling!:D
