Didn’t think the soundtrack was too bad, bit unusual for a WW2 movie but then again it is more of an action movie
I’m properly starting my job tonight (shelf stacker), but my official job title is ‘sales assistant produce’, when i read that on the letter in the post i was pretty stumped!

Very pretty. If not a likely candidate for airworthy restoration, any chance of her being restored to static?
Now to go into ‘Horsa geek mode’, the Horsa’s are incorrect. After having the Dakota’s towing the Horsa’s as my wallpaper, the Horsa’s are mk I gliders, with single nosewheel, no skid under the fuselage. However, they are towed by a rope attaching to the single wheel at the front, but this only happened on the Mk II gliders, as on the Mk 1 the rope started at two points, one on each wing, and joined together in front of the nose (about 10 metres or so) when in air. (Horsa geek mode off :p)
Cheers thats the one, been contacted by someone not on the forum about it as well. Theres two other Auster III’s on the CAA register, anyone know if they do much flying/events etc? One of thems not too far away from me
Love interest definitely, i can’t think of one movie at all without a love part in it!
The cgi looks alright, seems to be a film mainly made for the teenage audience, looks like a fun little movie so i’ll give it a go
Would be interesting, will be good to compare it to ‘Fly Boys’. Looks like quite a few aviation related movies are being made at the minute, would be great with todays cgi technology etc.
And if you don’t win the competition, i’m sure a tenner to TT and waiting a few years will guarantee a flight in a Harvard 😀
The monoplane AN-2 seems to have (probably mock up) engines on the wing as well, so probably some sort of Ju-52 lookalike? Looks like a good film if you asked me, nice to see a Horsa being used as well!
Yep i believe they removed the narrow gauge track at Duxford. Was it ever used anyway? Would have been nice for them to use the WW1 loco’s, especially the armoured Simplex, up and down the line, could have given rides for money as well
Personally i’d love an Auster III, lovely aircraft. i believe theres one flying in green/dark brown, with far eastern theatre roundels? Would love to see it one day, big fan of the Auster. I’ve seen photos of the collection of Austers before, would be great to see them restored.
Ah of course, do you know how much discount i’ll get for being a Friend of Sywell Aerodrome?
I’m starting work properly on Friday at Morrisons, i hate it alredy! Hours are horrible, pay is less than minimum wage (they get away with it by calling it a ‘trial period’ of three months, and then pay us just over minimum wage) and the discount is only on ‘selected home and leisure items’ so if i want food or something like that i have to pay full whack for it, even though i work there! Then again, it’s the only place hiring in town, and i’m desperate for a car… have some mates there too and the girls aren’t bad
