I thought at least one of the Elvington Tornadoes were complete? Never seen them mentioned as front sections before

Edit – at least one of them is, the Gr.1

The photo for the Gr.4 is the same one though

Just got back from my lesson, don’t think i did too well! Kept getting the clutch and accelerator mixed up, ie when told to put the clutch down and take foot off the accelerator, did it the other way round! Also kept veering to the left of the road, and kept looking at the gear stick (big mistake!). Hope to do better next week though, the chap i drive with is great, and he owns a cool Subaru Impreza which he’ll let me drive if i pass the test first time round 😀

although I read somewhere that an Australian(?) company is due to release a 1:48 model Auster III(?)

Yep that’s Sword Models, they’ve already released their 1/48 Auster III, you can get it from http://www.hannants.co.uk and according to that site they plan to release a 1/72 version in the future too. Then again, it’s been there for several years, if it ever materialises i’ll buy it

I heard it takes about a month, you should get any identity documents back about a week before you get the provisional. Although that said, sent mine off last Tuesday, got my passport back the next Tuesday and the license the next day! (yesterday) Couldn’t believe it came so fast, means i’ll have to limit my spending on my hobbies till i start working at Morrisons

Haven’t heard of that before, sounds likely though. Sure would have been useful for landing on the ‘Graf Zeppelin’ if she was ever built.
