Turn Left! LEFT!! 😮 🙂
Another take on the nose concept …
Another photo from the Air Berlin website …
Many thanks for the information.
To be honest, I couldn’t justify the extra £199 each for Premium, which would add more than 20% onto the cost of the holiday!
However, I’ll let you know what the journey is like in “cattle class” (if some of the reviews on various ‘opinion’ websites are to be believed).
I’ll probably go for 2 of the middle 3 seats so that we’ll only be disturbing ourselves if we want to get in/out of our seats etc.
I phoned Monarch today to find out about extra leg-room seats, they only allocate them up to 7 days before, then sell them on the day of check-in!
I’m a bit disappointed that there is no seat-back IFE on such a long flight, but I can’t complain too much as we couldn’t afford to fly scheduled this time. (Went to Sri Lanka last year & flew with Sri Lankan – superb flight , superb service!)

Hiya,
Yes, MON are flying Glasgow -> Cuba in the summer, but only for about 4 weeks … think it ends mid-July sometime.
When we booked it wasn’t even an option.
Still thinking over those BA flight connection times …. don’t fancy waiting 8 hours at LGW!
Hi,
Thanks for all the replies.
The next flight LGW->GLA (after 11.15) is 15.15 so if we arrived on time then we got an 8-hour wait … 🙁 But if we were late for the 11.15 then I know that BA have no need to put us on the next flight as the much-cheapness tickets are non-refundable & non-transferrable.
It’s a bit of a delicate balancing act methinks!!!! … anyone know how likely it is that the flight time might be changed (as opposed to delayed) ?
Just now we are looking at £67 each return on GLA->LGW->GLA , have been told that if we leave it much later then it could be as much as 3 times that …. maybe we should just have picked Majorca as our destination! 🙂
Hi Greekdude,
Here is that particular section of the routemap from their website.

Hi,
Re : Dtroit. That’s what the info was on Airliners.net , but having looked at the Vietnam Airlines website, it looks as though they fly to San Fransisco & Los Angeles. No mention of Detroit … apologies if the info is wrong.

ATHENS (Reuters) – The hijacker of a Turkish Airlines plane on Saturday released all the passengers at Athens airport, a Greek police spokesman said.
“The passengers are getting off the plane unharmed,” a spokesman told Reuters.
The hijacker, who claimed he had explosives strapped to his body, seized Flight TK 160 after taking off from Istanbul on a domestic flight to Ankara on Friday night. The plane landed in Athens for refueling. According to German air traffic control the hijacker insisted on flying to Tegel airport in Berlin.
