I imagine I would too…seems better to have something in front of you to fold with two hands
The Captain is flying left handed and I can’t imagine that being comfortable.
But it seems it’s OK as we don’t hear about it.
Not the early ones A.300/310…they had conventional yokes.
G-ORSA? Not listed with the CAA?
Maybe not officially registered yet
Take a look at some of the airlines currently being tested BA 787, A.380 for example, they are not listed on G-INFO
Only when it’s delivered and I suspect the paperwork is finally signed does it become official and then it will appear.
Old registrations that were issued but not taken up are not listed either, or at least I’ve not yet found one that was.
Also launched at the Paris airshow, however I’m not sure if there is a flying model. Does anyone know?
Well no, if is being launched it doesn’t exist yet so there won’t be a flying model
Under developent
How do you know they are the people at the centre of the event
The ‘plane had to land, was search and five people did not get back on…
That is all that has been reported.
There is no implication they wrote the note.
How do you fit all the flight controls, nav gear, aircon units etc. in such a small space and have something that’s possible to service.
Still don’t see how it’s easy to get in and out of. People when they get older get still and often larger.
A so many in a small cramped space…toilets??
What about getting out quick in an emergency.
Where does the baggage go?
I just can’t see a use for a jet this small.
Many who use bizjets…most probably, want size and space.
I can’t imagine anyone wanting to be squeezed into that
Small jets like the Phenom are about the smallest practical size.
A single engine also limits over water use…engines till can and do fail
F-HPJI is not being taken by AFR with an un annouced redeployment.
G-TUIC now delivered so perhaps a few ad hoc services are very close now
Congratulation Airbus.
No longer just a project but a real aeroplane.
The mentioned A.320 is ex M-YWAT and originally with Air Jamaica and a few other but never French
As for the 380, I guess it would be something along the lines of other Arfican airlines using SAA 747SP on leasein the past.
A bit big to be taking on so it will surely be operated for them with perhaps their own crew eventually.
If it was Air France, they are about to take on another 380 so perhaps they can spare one in the short term??
The black paint around the flightdeck windows does a grand job of hiding the ugly lines that come from marrying the whalejet windows to this new frame.
The flight deck windows seem to different to the 380
They’ve been relaying and repositioning Guernsey’s runway overnight for a couple of years. Of course Heathrow is OK as it does have another runway. In Guernsey’s case some delayed flight had to be cancelled as the RW closed at 21:00. They had to close the whole airport of four sets of two days at critical times.
Also rebuilding aprons has caused special arrangements having to be made, changing frequently as work progressed.
Good job but not quite as risky as it would be at any single runway airport which made the comment about aircraft already on the way needed to use it a little odd as there is an alternate runway, a nuisance though it may be.
Not putting the story down, or not meaning to…it is a big job and as a good example of excellent planning, it is good news, it’s just that everything LHR does is clever and major news and anywhere else is not very newsworthy.
Hope all goes well
Later you can replay the flight for about a month.
So you can show her when she gets back.
I recently went Gatwick-Helsinki and return and afterwards I could look at the track to see exactly what I’d seen from the window.
Look here and you should see it.
Check the settings so it shows reg as well as number but the FR number might be different to the RYR number shown on the map it will show the FR number if you click on it….a side pane will come up with details.
You can then follow the flight if you want.
