Those are two I never watched, but that was my choice, I never told other people they shouldn’t…freedom of expression is important

    AP

I said there were many good comedies, I didn’t say all the comedies were good;)

Smaller figures are just to do with more stations to spread it across

It has nothing to do with quality of todays programmes compared to a bygone era

It is simply viewers given a choice of several things to watch making a choice

The only fair comparison would be if the were two channels, one with the old stuff on and one with modern progarmmes

But a choice of what to watch now has no relationship to a choice made at any other time.

In reality those that are at the top might not even rate if there were other choices

It is just people preferring to watch one over the other, it doesn’t indicate how many actually enjoyed it, they just didn’t want to watch anything else that was on and wouldn’t dream of sitting down without the telly on.

Despie being 55 and brought up without TV in my early days, I have never liked, and never listen to radio and I mean never…except airband:D

So it’s not a case with me of liking what I was brought up with, infact many of the TV programmes then I wouldn’t watch now.

There were many good comedies in the 70’s, sadly some can no longer be shown as they are not PC enough:(

There is one enormous difference between now and 1982

In ’82 Argentina occupied an undefended Falklands and the British had to re capture.

There is now a strong British military presence so dspite the recent defemce cuts Britain is in a much stringer position to hold it.

It might have been close then but you can’t compare the current threat to the 1982 conflict simply because with the British already in position is is a completly different situation.

The BA 747-400’s may not be paid for yet

It’s possible that like a house…the loan is over 25-30 years.

As for QANATAS deferring A.380 deliveries, airlines have been rescheduled for deferring new aircraft orders frequently through history

This is not unusual at all but another example of a mountain being made out of a molehill.

Airliners are often ordered years before, sometimes in a boom, but by the time delivery time comes things have changed, in this case in a recession and operstional needs and competition requirements ar very differnt so they try and re adjust a bit.

Really there is nothing in this, how it’s always been

Most likely will be any that are not currently operated by Boeing 737’s

Especially the longer range rather than the high capacity shorter routes.

Brirish Airways have eight on order

I don’t know why people keep comapring the looks of this to the A.380

This is more 767 size so no direct comparison

If its comapring recent designs then yes, the A.380 is ugly whereas the 787 is emabrrasing ugly…the ugliest Jetliner ever built.

The 380 suffers from being a double decker. A nice looking double decker is yet to be produced.

    The 787 has no excuse:D

It is going to be designed so it won’t sink,” he added. ”But, of course, if you are superstitious like you are, you never know what could happen.”

Where have I heard that before???

Just after Dr. Ballard found the wreck, a businessman was on the radio being interviewed having just ordered four Titanics to be used for cruises, from Harland & Wolfe.

Gave him a lot of publicity for a little while

Some Jet4You 737’s have gone to..I think it’s Arkefly, trying to remember off the top of my head, but retained their green livery. This had made me wonder if a new livery was about to be announced for the group and the reason they’d not been repainted yet.

If it is group wide I wonder if the green and yellow versions would be retained.
