A helicopter sent a hijack code and the authorities reacted to that in the way they have been set up and trained to do

The fact the code was sent by mistake is irrelevant.

The Poseidon much be well modded given the time it’s been on test.

One of the more recent prototypes stored for preservation is the Boeing 787, one of two of the type already retired.

The 757 prototype is in use as a test platform…seems a recent type but it is 30 years old.

Parts of the first TriStar serve as an exhibit.

I don’t know it it has been mentioned but the prototype Boeing 737 a -130 has been preserved after serving with NASA.

The 17 year old prototype 777 still earns it’s keep

Boeing have done well with the 367-80, 737,747,757,777 all still intact along with the very juvenile but historic 787

The Airbus A.320 prototype still serves, currently testing parts for the NEO. It’s the only A.320-100 still flying although not much will be -100 now.

It wasn’t that long ago that a prototype would often exist for 2-4 years then be scrapped…if it didn’t crash

Some of the current airliner prototypes are a lot older than we think simply because the basic type has remained in production so long.

Why did they not used the second runway?…OK it’s normally the taxyway and flights would have been much restricted, but some movement would have been possible.

the media hype certainly loses the plot

It’s hard to say how serious the authorities took it, perhaps they felt it operationally justified, perhaps they used it to show their force.

I did rile me, as usual with silly things like explaining what a sonic boom was to people who you’d think the end of the World has come just because something goes bang in the sky.

The whole Olympics this in my opinion is a waste of money even without factoring in the security but as I mentioned above perhaps they wanted to justify the existance of their measures.

One thing for sure…if you’re flying and make a simple mistake you could end up in a very serious situation.

These are pics in the building and showing the name and published before Titanic sank.

I know the ones you mean…even some used are of the Lusitania, but there are a series of pics in a book I’ve sadly lost now showing Titanic being fitted out and the hull plating does not match the pics of her before launch but does match pics of Olympic.

Some of the labelled parts found that do show Olympic may not be evidence as when Olympic was damaged whilst Titanic was being fitted out, they took some of Titanic’s parts to repair Olympic and some parts labelled Olympic as replacements were fitted to Titanic.

But some parts that seem to indicate Olympic were not damaged in the collision so not replaced. It could have been that some parts for both ships were made at the same time and the wrong part fitted as it would hardly matter.

If I do find the book again, the house is being cleared I’ll scan the pics in and show what I mean.

I noticed years ago the the hull plating on some Titanic pics didn’t match on others, but did match some pics of Olympic

Odd as the name was clear but I always though the pics were probably retouched as often in those days as detail did not always come out and so was painted on.

When I read about the conspiracy theory, suddenly that and other odd facts that were had to understand, seemed to fit together.

The conspiracy theory is the only story that ties all the facts together.

Whether it is true of not, it does seem remarkable close to what the evidence suggests.
