I got confused driving around East Midlands…seemed I was going in out of counties at a higher rate than airport movements
Just been on the local news
There was an idea to push if anyone wanted to help not sure if it came from the airline, the airport of the pax…it was not a demand, no one was told to push or you stay here.
There will be a backlash form H&S and pax are not supposed to be on the apron doing such things, which is no surprise.
I doubt if it was anything like that at all.
I doubt very moch the passengers were told to push the plane
Either they asked for volunteers or a passenger had and idea and aked if anyone else was prepared to give it a go.
Funny though that the tractor couldn’t but the people could.
So Boeing doesn’t get State help???
8.7 BILLION dollars tax break
Why did the TriStar run out of fuel…was that not a crew error??
An A.380F would not be able to carry a Beluga load.
The Beluga is a large capacity freighter…the A.380F would be normal wide bodied freighter size on two floors, not one big space.
It is a motor bike…powered by a Rocket Motor.
Interest they are now A.330 based.
A couple of years or so ago they said they were going to build new Belugas based on A.340’s
I went there back in August and all I saw was a partially stripped 747 and a cimplete but permanently grounded DC 8…don’t recall a third
So then, they can’t say what or when if the technology is not developed.
Have they learned nothing from the 787 when they promised a timescale for untried material and failed hopelessly to meat the promised timescale.
IO doubt very much it will look like the poic above. Just another fanciful idea of the future that never comes about.
Why wait??? Why not do it now?
Maybe reasy by 2020/21 and time to follow after the intial wave of Max aeroplanes
There was some sucess in the USA but only after the electrucal system was ripped out and the whole thing re fitted.
There was also trouble in the RAF operating on grass with the props tips hitting the ground.
It looked nice but was a disaster to operate and maintain
I didn’t realise it still flew and I can’nt imaging why it still was to be honest.
How does anyone ever imagine that could help the commuter. It’s either an aeroplane and subject to aviation rules…needs an airport…or a car and will be impractable to drive in the city.
Can you imagine thousands of these things flying around near towns.
A novelty and no more.
The noise is an issue at low level not altitude. Airport tend to be built on the ground and aircraft landing are usually pretty low…hence the nuisance.
