Cheers Terry… Email sent.
Was the PR7 any different to other Canberras? The PR3 or T17 for instance. I have some gen on those.
Hi Terry… Thanks for the reply anything you have on the PR.3 may help! we have the wiring diagram for the T.17 and today we have been looking at the Wiring i.d’s in the 7 to see if it’s the same? This we are still not 100% on yet…
Cheers Daz…
So how do you power up your cockpit? Anyone have a solution that can plug into a wall socket?
This is how we put power on WH779 beats having to use our 28v aircraft battery’s that don’t last long…
Advance Switch Mode Power Supply 28v DC 100A
Model F20006
Input Voltage 184-264v AC(20A Max)45-65 Hz
Output Voltage 27.2v DC(Can be Increased or decreased via O/P Adjust pot)Set at 28v DC
Output Current 100Amps 2.725 Kw

Day two 1st Sep.. I Started with Some more rubbing down after a few hours me and Julian Warren set about fitting the new Nav’s window… So at long last 791 has a Nav window again… After that job we removed the pilot’s seat and the pan from the nav’s seat so Hazel can start the long job of cleaning the cockpit out.. Last job of the day was to open the flare-bay doors and I’ve got to say it looks good with them open… We also found time to fit the new flying control locks… Not bad for day two…
I thought I’d post this as a separate item as I suspect a fellow forumite will be able to keep us posted with photographs from the project. 😉
Details about the start of refurbishment work on Canberra PR.7 WH791 at Newark Air Museum have been uploaded to the NAM website this morning!
Great Idea T/O… I will start to post photo’s and any news on WH791 refurbishment hear as it happens…
We started work on Sunday 25th Aug 2013… It’s going to be a long road but it’s one we need to go down if we are to save this great aircraft…
I started the long job of sanding down the 7… Following round with etch Primer where needed… I also fitted a new Handel to the crew door as it was missing so now we can lock the aircraft… I also got the two blanking plates out of the forward camera hatch not bad for day one.
Loaded up a ready to depart for Elvington tomorrow around 7:00am Photo from Andrew King, one of the Tbag members…

Thought they already
had two Buccaneer’s at Elvington?
