The following appeal for information has been posted on the NAM website this morning:
โDo you have Log Book entries on WF369?
As part of its policy of widening the recorded history of its exhibits the museum now has a couple of members who are starting to co-ordinate the recording of the flying hours for Vickers Varsity WF369.
WF369 has a diverse flying history having served at various times with the following RAF units:
201 Advanced Flying School โ RAF Swinderby
No.1 Air Navigation School โ RAF Hullavington
Air Engineers School โ RAF Finningley
Air Electronics Operators School โ RAF Finningley
No.6 Flying Training School โ RAF FinningleyWhen WF369 touched down at Winthorpe on 1st April 1976 it was the aircraftโs 7,612th landing, with over 8,646 flying hours. Can you help fill in some of those training ops?โ
Details about how people can contribute Log Book entries can be found in this weblink to the NAM website!
Hi T/O My Uncle was on 24 Course at AE&AES RAF Topcliffe from October 1972 to September 1973 his course was the last to pass out at Topcliffe before the school moved to RAF Finningley.
He only flew in WF 369 once on August 3rd 1973, the captain was Fg Off Bill Bailey who was the youngest multi engine captain at the time.
I will get a copy from his log book showing his flight in WF 369 on the 3rd Aug 1973.. It was 4hrs and 5 min flight..
Photo of my uncle in the co-pilot’s seat.
Bit of latitude please mods, just giving them a heads up, not cheap but offers etc on item, and I’m not the seller.

Hi, I would be interested in bringing my cockpit along and Personally I would prefer a two day event ๐
Bought some goodies from evil bay and found some bits and pieces including a data plate from this aircraft, according to an old wrecks and relics book the cockpit survived at a ATC squadron in the 1980’s.
Does anybody know if the cockpit of WT534 still survives and if so how would I contact the owner?
Hi, The Cockpit of WT534 still survives and is owned by Sean Edwards he is a very good pal of mine…. you can contact him from his website http://www.rafupwood.co.uk/index2.html
