TwinOtter had the idea that in addition to the trophies for the winners – that every participant at Cockpitfest should gets a small token/plaque.
I have been looking into making small tokens that can be mounted on the trailer/frame or on a wooden board.
As the main point would be the year – over time they would accumulate.
My first rough idea is attached – it is a 7 x 5 cm aluminium plaque that has the words Cockpitfest/ NAM and the year – chemically etched into the surface.
What do the cockpiteers think – too big, too weird – not sticking that on my trailer etc…
Are the token/plaques going to be done again for the 2012 event… 🙂
‘V Force’ reunion
‘V Force’ reunion at Newark Air Museum on the bbc news 🙂
Has anyone got a picture of 558 on the dump at Marham before it was exchanged for the other example XH560 that was there in 1987 when I was there? I think XL445 and 426 were the only ones to be in the darker grey at the end of Vulcan operations and only 445 was in wrap round.
XM575 was also in wrap round with the darker grey at the end 🙂
A B1 Vulcan tailcone!

All the Best Daz..
Been at NAM Today working on my Canberra Cockpit…. And I just had to get some winter photos 🙂

Yes 😀 As I did the cladding on your 1st Romney…. I also know you don’t have the man power to do a build like this Again.. it’s not a job for anyone that has not got the right skills… Try and contact Tangmere Air Museum to see if they have any design details… Then raise the cash and get the contractors in Best all round…
