Just spoken to a friend at Southend, and rumour has it that the Belfast has had a stay of execution,so it looks if it might stay about for a few more months yet,but will probably end up as pots and pans.!!!!!!!

Sorry that should be XV118 not XV119
There are two Seafire`s currently under restoration with Kennet`s,they are
SX300 G-CDTM MK XVII and LA564 F.46,there are some small parts of another, this being SR461 F.XV, i understand this is being used for patterns and will not be fully restored as there is very little of it.(but i`ve heard that before)
Please do`nt ask when they will fly as you will be told “WHEN THEY ARE READY”.
As for the Gannet (G-KAEW) that is third in line behind the Seafires and just infront of a Scout (XV119).

The T.33 is in the “care” of The Squadron, there are at least two collections that i know of,that are interested in the T.33,but due to some “Tax” problem the aircraft can not be sold but can be donated to a registed charity. Can`t say no more on the subject.
XH668 -: as for helping out at NW all you have to do is go into The Squadron and see the manager, volunteer to help out at any of the events that we have, i`m sure you will be most welcome,i did ,some twenty years ago and still enjoy it very much.So much so i now help organise the “Air-Britain fly-in” which has been held in June of each year for the past seven years.
Yak 11 fan your always welcome along with anyone else who wants to turn up.

Quote from Newforest-:
“one in the UK “
I noted G-ARDG C/N 47 stored dismantled at Redhill, Surrey on 7/10/2006 awaiting restoration, so that would make two in the UK.Unless anyone knows of any others.
