Yes it would gives jobs to local people ,but just think of the people who work at Stansted who will loose there jobs if such a move takes place.
This contract comes up for tenter every few years and they also look at LHR, LGW (Knowing they will not go to either),so they will probaly just stay at Stansted anyway.This is just paper talk !!

Aztec G-ASHH is still current and has a c/n of 27-63,weather this is still airworthy i`m not sure.

No this was the one that sat a Chatham dockyard for many a year before it was moved to North Weald,the aircraft is in a fairly good condition,and once restored to flying conditon it will return to North Weald and be part of the great collection at Kennets.
I look forward to refuelling it once it comes back !!!

Looking at the photo on the link below ,the aircraft looks very much like an Escapade to me,which would make it a high wing monoplane,but that`s the BBC for you.!!!!
