now where did your post go
Sorry Here it is:
Great pics Archer! TOP!:D One of the best museum-tours I ever got!
But at photo number 6 you can see a bucker Bu133 jungmeister and a bucker Bu131 jungmann. NOT a Fw44 Stieglitz! 🙂
Do you have a photo of the Stampe SV4C from this museum?
Thanks.
J.V.
Thanks robbelc. That is what I was looking for. Hopfully, the plane will be painted in its authentic scheme when it is completed. It looks great!
That is what I describe as good news!:)
Is there someone who has a image of the scheme that the plane coul have worn in its service life.
See the link for more details of its history.
Thanks.
Thanks Mark. I am happy knowing that this machine is going to return on the airshow scene!:D This is the place where it belongs.
I hope it can fly for many years. Good luck to RNHF! I wish them the best, certainly after the trouble they had in the past.
Thanks to all who made this possible! 😎
At Old Warden, there is also a Military Pageant Air Display planned on june 6. Is this date a coincidence? So, maybe you can visit 2 events in 1 day.
In france at la ferté Alais there is a special display to remember the D-Day invasion.
See this french link (see:15H46-16H32 ):

Hi srpatterson,
Here I got some dates that might interest you:
29 may: Seafront Airshow at Blackpool.
29-30 may: Airshow at La ferté Alais (I know it is in france, but if you come al the way from the USA, this event is the second largest warbird-event in Europe after the Flying Legends held at Duxford. So it might be worth it to go acros the channel for 1 day.)
30-31 May Seafront airshow at Southend (with BBMF-display).
Of course in June there are some nice events that are taking place for the D-day cellibrations such as the D-Day airshow at Duxford.
But here is a link with european airshowdates.

And a great site with airshowdates in the UK for the month may:

Maybe this can help you to make your choise. Good luck.
Cheers.
Nice to see that the SeaFury FB11 is going to appear at shows this year. I tought it was still grounded after its enige-trouble. Since when does it fly again? Is its appearence at Southend on may30-31 the first one since it was grounded?
It will be nice to see this thundering Stinson Reliant 71 Blackbird in flight:rolleyes: !
This would make some sense MK959. What a way of making advertisment for a show. Does a Stinson Reliant have the ‘nickname’ blackbird? Not that I know.
Your french is fine Moggy C. Maybe in France consider flying a SR-71 is a luxury. 😀 But it is strange indeed that the plane is placed under this theme.

As far as im aware all the sr-71 aircraft are now in museums or storage.
That is what I tought.
And if NASA should still have one flying, will it fly all the way to Europe for a display?. That will cost a lot of dollars. $$$$$$;)
What is the SR-71 doing on this airshowprogramme. Maybe it is a static display, but who is going to get a SR-71 in France?
Yep JDK. I did not mention this one. Thankfully, we still have this beauty. But I only wanted to state that history does not make part in the lives of many Belgian people.
Thanks.
I believe it is a good thing that some small ceremony will be organized there at Florennes. A lot of aviation history is totaly neglected here in Belgium. Only very few people know something about aviation and wartime history. Shame! Here we have a lot of forgotten soldiers. This only makes me sad. So hopfully, you can organize something.
To honour the many.
Frustrated?
This is a torture! Why don’t we have this in Europe. A gap in the flying inventory.
Great news again jagdtiger. Although it is a replica (with an original engine), it wil be a joy to see this one fly.:D
The only sad news on the site is that the owner of the machine has run out of money. The project is for sale. It might take some time before the work can go on.
Nice link jagdtiger with nice pics of the restoration.
I am happy to see something about the FW190D because this version (D-series) is my favourite. I liked the old paint scheme on the Fw190. The one it had when it was on display with the Champlin museum. I wil take a good look at the machine when the job is done. Hopfully, I wil be surprised.:)
