Is this a monoplane? It looks to me that this is a biplane with its lower wings removed.
Thanks for the nice pics you send.
Great!
Thank you Trevs. I made my first biplanetrip in this machine so I am happy to know where she is.
Thanks:D
Great!
Nice project you have started there. It is still in a early stage, but I can’t hardly wait to see a reproduction from such a old plane fly.
The link to your website is interesting with some nice pictures. Go and take a look everybody!

also on my visit on Saturday I couldn’t see the Hawker Fury MkI.
Has it left OW? I couldn’t see if it was in hangar 1 as it was closed due to building work.
Did the fury fly and where is it now?
Any ideas anyone?
As kodak Posted, the fury MKI has a belgian owner. The plane went back to the UK after a crash during a airshow in belgium in 1996. It flew again after restauration in 2001. It has always been the intention of the owner to bring the plane back to belgium. Logistic problems have slowed the move down. So, the last years, this machine has been on show at Old Warden. Now, with it’s CAA expire next june, it could be that the aircraft has returned to belgium. The owner operates his other aircrafts (Boeing stearman, Stampe SV4, Morane MS317, Tiger Moth,…) from Kortrijk-Wevelgem (EBKT). I know that it is possible that the Fury wil be stored in belgium and wil not be flown for some time. This for financial reasons, lack of qualified pilots and a lack of mayor airshows/events in Belgium.
I found this picture in one of my shoeboxes. MH434 at Kortrijk-Wevelgem (EBKT) in 1990.
What do you think about some japanese planes as the Kyushu J7W and the Yokosuka MXY7 which was built for kamikaze pilots. In my opinion strange and ugly birds.
