Have a great day Setter!
Best Wishes,

And this was also the last display at the flying day.

So, I hope you liked this. I do hope to go back to the FIO in the future and maybe I’ll post some more Spanish classics then.
Cheers,
Stiglitz
And of course the Saetta also returned to give a nice display:

Then, the Texans preformed a duo display: (I hope you like this TT!)
Take a look below:

After this biplanefunn came another formation display. The well known (at least in Spain) Saetta-Texan combination:

Now the biplane theme:
Once again the FIO flew 4 vintage biplanes in close formation. Taking part in this display where:
This spanish built Casa Jungmann:

Another german shemed Jungmann:

The Bucker family was also represented by this Casa Jungmeister:

And finaly this (not bucker :p ) Stearman:

Here are some formation pics:

Then came another load of classics:
The Dornier Do27:

The nice Fleet 7:

This Chipmunk arrived at Cuatro Vientos on the day of the event and will be operated by the FIO in the future:

The show started with some smaller vintage planes:
This Jodel is a regular preformer:

The Pitts made another nice acrobatic display:

Also there was the Yallow Cub:

And also the commercial aviation was represented by this Stinson in Iberia markings:

And then the start: 😉

Now for the show itself:
Making a welcome static appearance was the FIO Polikarpov I-16 Rata which recently arrived from New Zealand. This original Rata is airworthy and is expected to fly by early 2006.

Just before the start of the flying program, the Polikarpov was towed back to the hangar:

Of course I’ve seen this before! 😉 (last visit more then 2 years ago 😮 ) A lot of fotos have been added since; so I saw some nice additions there. It was great to visit this site again.
Thanks for the link TT. 🙂
Cheers mate,
Stiggy
PS: some more Stieglitz magic for the fans:

I’ve been away for some days and I almost missed this post. But I’m happy that I did take a look here. The hard work on this Halifax has resulted in a historicly important masterpiece. Thanks for posting these pics.
Very Nice!
Stieglitz
Mostely modern aircraft (for example a superb painted F117!) with some historics, but still very nice pics!
Good link Firebird.
