But there is a lot more there. For example, a very interesting collection of engines which were recoverd in the Netherlands. Look at this Daimler Benz and some engines of the Short Stirling:
The first thing you notice when you enter the museum is the Spitfire MK IX reproduction:
Finaly! Well done Webmaster. Thanks for the hard work. I’ve missed it and I am very happy to see that it is back! 😀
Thanks,

Nice ones Mark! It is always unusual to see aircraft prior to their visit to the paintshop.

My nicest ride was in the Focke Wulf Stieglitz OO-JKT (now G-STIG). It was a flight from Kortrijk-Wevelgem (EBKT) to Midden Zeeland (EHMZ) and back. We flew in formation with P&W powered Boeing Stearman OO-STM, Stampe SV4C OO-SVS and Stampe SV4D OO-SVT. When we returned, we flew in close formation alongside the coastline at an altitude of around 50 to 100 feet (very low above the water!!!) We (the passengers of course because the pilots where busy flying the planes! 😉 ) all waved at the crowd which was standing on the beach and they all waved back. A very nice rid and a once in a liftime experience for me! 😎
It was like a dream.

I’ve visited the UK in 2000 and then I visited 3 museums:
Day 1: Hendon
Day 2: Shuttleworth
Day 3: Duxford
I got an overdose at that time because I’m not used to see so much historical planes in such a short period. But those 3 museums are a must and you can spend more than one day in each of them!

The Rebuffat Spits where the top of the bill when they where released for Fs2002. But now, they are not as ‘modern’ as the more recent freeware planes. But they still are amongst the best freeware spits which are available.

I imagine Paul Barry is rather busy with the Alphasim EE Lightning…
Charlie
Yep, I know he is a busy man. 😮
A good freeware Spitfire? I don’t think so. The best there is is the freeware AH seafire. The texture is much better than their payware spits.
But a GOOD freeware Spitfire, I don’t think so. 🙁

Yep, a very usefull site which I already visited often. I just can’t get enough of this list of french warbirds! 😎
J.V.
Yep, a realy stunning pack! The best, together with the recently payware released P-51D/H Mustangs!
A real work of art! 😎

Registration of the harvards are:
D-Day stripes: F-AZRB and operated by AJBS
French: F-AZYT operated from Cuers by Les Ailes de l’Aéro.
(Ah I am to slow 😮 Cheers Franck!)

JV, you could add of course :
B-17 Pink Lady, one or two DC-3, JU-52, lot of acrobatic planes (Pitts, Cap..), Bucker 131 & 133, Chipmunk, Stearman, Bleriot XI, Spad XIII, RAF SEA5, Mirage 2000, lot of Morane planes…….and of course a Stieglitz
That is true! Of course the ‘usual’ LFA stuff will be there too! 🙂

J.V.
