Extremely bad weather within UK airspace is the reason.

Ordered TO COME BACK thought the safety of the plane etc was upto the captain therefore if it was a security risk should have landed at nearest airport and the hours dont tallt it says it was four hours out of sydney yet it took off at 8 and landed at 12 hmmm,blarney me thinks maybe sydney was the closest

at one mile 300ft
at two miles 600ft
at three miles 900ft
at four miles 1200ft etc etc

I can confirm that london centre and dublin centre also held a minutes silence at respective centres at 12 noon today.

emirates are looking very closely at starting a dubai flight minimum 4/5 days a week,rumours are gulf air would start in competition 7 days a week if emirates started up.united have said they want to start chicago and san fran flights when the stopover goes.aerlingus will start florida and san fran/san diego plus seattle and others when stopover goes europe will expand big time in the mean time.finnair are coming back for the summer with airbuses.lufthansa are starting a stuttgart route soon.air baltic is going to fly to dublin from riga.singapore airlines would most likely start up a route but thats a while away.
