President Bush was making a visit to Cleveland so his support crew arrived early with his cars and other vehicles. Rather than the C-5 that I’ve seen before they used a C-17.
Note: The aircraft has no markings, not even the standard USAF stuff. You can see that the insignia aft of the wing has been painted over. The only marking on the whole aircraft that I could see was the US flag on the tail. Interesting.
We had the opportunity to share the pattern/circuit with a C-130 crew doing some touch and goes. I would like to make note that my approach got kudos from the tower, not the C-130’s. 😉 🙂
Some more modern aircraft…
Not fast enough for you? How about your own F-100. 😎
I had to hold the camera out the window to avoid taking the picture through the glycol covered window. The de-ice crew just doesn’t take into account the on board photographers. 😉

You can see the raised deck angle as the jets keep pace with the bomber. 🙂
Here are 2 pictures from the B-25 photo flight from the Continental website. The training center has a bunch of great photos from this flight but I’ve never been able to track down copies.
…
This aircraft…
They used a photo B-25 for the aircraft photos here.
The flag is NOT the wrong way around.

The flag image is painted to represent a flag blowing in the prevailing wind (nose to tail). It looks no different than the flag in the above picture unless you happen to fly your flag backwards on the flag pole.

It is real. There are a few American carriers that put the flag like that on the starboard side, NW being another.
I’ve never seen an aircraft with the flag painted otherwise in the US. It’s painted as it would be flying in the prevailing wind, nose to tail. Makes sense to me.

Why doesn’t Delta all operate it themselves?
So they can get away with cheap labor and pit one company against another to decrease their costs even more.
If it’s a Delta CRJ you’ll be flying on either ASA or Comair both are great airlines. I only know folks at Comair but I’ve never heard anything bad about the operations at ASA.
Now that I think about it, Skywest might also being flying CRJ’s under the Delta banner as well now. Not that it really matters for the passengers but they are a non-union outfit that isn’t doing too much to forward this profession.
I thought they were Chemtrails?! 😮
If you don’t know what I’m talking about, do a quick search on the internet and you’ll see. 😉

That engine is running at full power! Look at the turbulence inside the engine! 😮
I don’t think a small vortex would last long at full power, he’s most likely at idle.
Turbulence?
