Great pictures, especially #6. 😉
He added that the presence of air marshals in the US was “boosted dramatically post 9/11” and that pilots do not always know an air marshal is on board a flight.
Wrong.
Thanks for the kudos guys. 😀
Great shots!
How do you make those aerial shots? Whenever I try to make pictures while in flight they end up unsharp and washed up.
Do you mean when shooting through a window? It could be that the camera is having trouble focusing as it’s doing so on the window and not the view outside. Clean the glass or change modes in the camera to help with that. As for the washed up, if there is any moisture in the air the pictures will show a blue tint. Use the internal white balance or an editing software that can remove it. I was lucky with my above pictures as the air was very dry.
I don’t know if that helped or not.
Oops, forgot this last one…..
On arrival into ORD.
I believe Click is one of the 2 new LLC that recently started up in Mexico. I guess a few of the worlds old Fokker’s have found homes here.
I don’t think AeroLitoral flies their EMB-145’s into the US as I’ve only seen their Saab 340’s. I think the livery looks real sharp.
The N-number is visible in the picture for what it’s worth.
You can see how clean it is/was by looking into the nose wheelwell.
Spotter hat on here I’m afraid, but the 2nd plane in that sequence isn’t an XR, and according to my info is one of the older 145s in the fleet? (cn 248)
I was pointing towards the second picture of the EMB-145, not the second picture. 🙂 N11194 You can see the XR’s fuselage strakes under the engine.
Have you got winglets now or the 145 or did I miss something ? New Embraer type perhaps?? 😀
It’s the EMB-145XR which we are the only operator of. It has a central fuel tank for an extra 45 minutes of flight time as well as winglets to boost the range a bit more.
These were taken the next day as we left. The second picture of the -145 was the aircraft we took out (on the hard stand if it doesn’t load in the same order). The aircraft was online for only 14 days after it’s delivery from Brazil and we were flying it’s 20 revenue flight. Nothing flies nicer than a brand new airplane. 🙂
The rest of my Mexico trips were in the dark so I couldn’t take any pictures. Actually with the days getting shorter it seems most flights are at night. 🙂 Oh well.
Not much but I hope you find these few interesting…
I spent this last week in Mexico. These are from our arrival in to Guadalajara.
Well, they got the gear down somehow and landed without incident. You could tell all the news folks were disappointed that it didn’t end in a ball of fire.
Also there is static in mid-air, as on my SWISS MD-11 DVD, there is Elm’s Fire on the windshield, where it looks like lightning is on the shield, but it is the static discharging! Looks amazing, but i’m frightened of thunderstorms, and i’d be very cautious if i saw that on my window! 😮
I’ve had St. Elmo’s Fire twice in the last week thanks to the heavy amount of rain we’ve been getting. Very spectacular. I’m less worried about charges the aicraft produce than I am about charges from storms. 😉
Wow, you’ve shared some amazing pictures. Great work, I’m looking forward to your future submissions. 🙂
But what is really suprising is who we are ahead of Frane and England to name just two.
Frane sucks! 😉
