As long as they have money to maintain the aircraft, they should have money to paint them.

Aircraft repainting is a scheduled event similar to maintenance checks. After so many years the aircraft needs to be repainted no matter if the livery has changed or not. Now with a livery change the repainting schedule/frequency is just noticeable where as until now most people just assumed that each aircraft was painted once 10 years ago and never saw a new coat of paint.

This paintjob is cheaper and doesn’t use as much paint as the grey scheme, anyhow.

Are you sure about that? Unless an airline decides to utilize a paint scheme similar to American with bare metal how does one design use more paint than another. Perhaps having a line painted overtop of a base coat would add additional paint but as far as I could tell the old UAL livery had very little cheat lines (or whatever they are called).

It doesn’t look as good as I thought it would. I agree with a few of the others here that this livery suits a smaller aircraft better.

I know they had launches service to 3 Mexican destinations and somewhere called Montrose. Guam is one stop via Hawaii. Rumours of new destinations – perhaps Mexico City as there is CO service to there from Laredo, San Antonio, IAH and EWR – or are there two US carriers on this route already?

You are correct, 3 Mexico destinations and Montrose, Colorado started this month out of LAX. Larado and LAX have also been added to our Mexico City connections out of the US (San Antonio and McAllen, Texas). There are rumors of many more Mexico destinations out of LAX as well as the possibility of continuing flights out of several Mexico destinations to Central and South America cities. All this growth is with ExpressJet Airlines and not CO.

I believe we now serve more cities in Mexico than AeroMexico or Mexicana Airlines (somewhere over 30 total cities).

did,nt some in the states managed to blow the contents of the toilet tank,back into the main cabin on a 767 whilst trying to empty it 😮 😮

I had a flight attendant where this happened. She was covered in the blue juice and taken to the hospital for Hepititis shots. I don’t believe it was blown back inside but was a result of a problem with the lav. truck.

On the ERJ the air start assist valve is right next to the lav service port. There was an incident when the air start cart was plugged into the lav port and turned on. Imagine the force of that air running through the lav system!!

Such a mess grounds the airplane as the mechanics have to strip it down and clean up the corrosive lav fluid. Blah.

I think it looks sharp. I like that not only is the tail red but they carried it around the fuselage.

Where did they get their aircraft? Were these apart of their old fleet that sat abandoned at the airport?
