Any idea which one is left? It looked under restauration and was unpainted I believe.
Thanks,
Koen
And the non-Chipmunks:
Here’s a preserved one that at least Arthur and probably Steve will recognize. 😉 Sorry but I had to test my dad’s new digital cam on something. 😀
Yes they do. Here’s a picture of a Mi.8 that participated in the Partnership for Piece exercise at St. Dizier in 2002: http://www.airsceneuk.org.uk/hangar/2003/stdizier/moldmil.htm
Funny thing was that MK732 didn’t have its clipped wings anymore, when were they extended again? There was a video filmed from inside the F-16B on the news just now, quite nice to see and I’ll post a URL if I find it online.
How bout this, do any of you hear of a 4 engined fighter? it exists, but try and guess 😉
Well AC-130’s were called ‘Fabulous Four Engined Fighters’ by their crews if that’s what you mean?
Interesting – the current Commando Solo machines originally had the large ‘pizza cutter’ blade antenna under their wings replaced by those big pods. Now with the EC-130J, the pizza cutter is back together with the large pod!
Actually the EC-130E’s had both as well:

I guess you couldn’t take a pic or two ELP?
Thanks Distiller, I actually came across that one already a while ago. Any other pics?
As everybody can see, the Indian press is not authentic because they don’t care to verify news. News verification is not part of the jib description in India.
OTH, Tsvah Haganah Le Israel-Heyl Ha’avir has the following fighters in its inventory:
F-16 A/B (Netz) = 114
F-16 C/D (Barak) = 125
F-16I (Suefe) = 102
F-15 A/B (Baz) = 44
F-15 C/D (Akef) = 27
F-15I (Ra’am) = 25
C7/TC-7 (Kfir) = 50 (In storage)
F-4E = 40 (In Storage)
F-4 E2000/RF-4E = 65
A-4N (Ahit) = 105 (about 80 in storage)
Didn’t they recentely retire their last Phantoms?
The joint exercise will be slated for 2005 after IAF Sukhoi-30 MKIs have done their tour of France.
Guess I’ve missed that bit being mentioned before but when are they scheduled to ‘tour’ France? I see a trip to France coming up in my crystal ball. 😀
Peg: Nice shot there mate, I can see a French C-160, Five American C-130’s, A Saudi and an Egyptian as well as A singaporean, Canadian and what looks like a Sri Lankan C-130, very interesting. The SLAF model being that right down the back there, the tail code gives it away.
Your Sri Lanka Herk is actually a Belgian AF C-130H.
Ok, managed to find it a bit quicker than I would have expected.
