I saw a list of other participants a while ago but can’t find it anymore. Do you happen to know where I can find one Kenneth?
I think it will be at the ILA in Berlin so at least it will come ‘close’…
Yup I just take a linedrawing and start colouring. The NF-5 received several updates and here’s the latest version http://members.lycos.nl/Sq322_Duke/NF-5A_K3058_improvedLines.JPG
The problem is finding good linedrawings though. Like this one most don’t have very nice lines and it takes a lot of time to clean that up. Most of them look like they’ve been drawn in paint or something instead of being scanned from books.
This topic got me inspired… Not to finish the Phantom but to start a new one which I finished in one go today:

The squadron badge looks a bit funny on this scaled down version.
There’s a larger JPG here: http://members.lycos.nl/Sq322_Duke/k3058.jpg
Well I started that years ago and just got bored with it I guess… Maybe some day….
Here’s one of mine I drew last year during a rather boring afternoon at Kleine Brogel in Belgium. I later added some colour on the PC…

and another one

The Phantom one’s not finished yet and I doubt I’ll ever finish it anyway….
The Bucc photo was taken by Paul Nann on take off at Riat 2003. Sorry for the late reply. 🙂
My vote goes to Iran as well but Sri Lanka has a very nice line up with mixed types as well.
Enjoy!
Let’s get back on topic again. 😉
🙂
Here you go:
The Dutch Connie should be at Waddington on the Sunday according to their website.

Not usually that interested in fast jets, but the one I really kick myself for missing is the SR 71 Blackbird. It was supposed to be at my local show at Finningley one year, but for one reason or another (weather I think) was unable to display. Never saw that in the air, what a shame!
(still, I saw dozens of Vulcan displays which always left me grinning from ear to ear 😀 😀 )
Same for me, definetely the Blackbird. Really annoying to know that thing was still flying around when I started visiting airshows/airbases and still I never managed to see one flying. 😡 And I didn’t see any Vulcans to make up for that either!!! (we need a smiley that’s even more angry than the ‘mad’ one!!!!)

The AC-130’s are flying over Iraq and they operated from Brindisi during the Kosovo crisis. They have just been updated with better self defense systems against the MANPAD’s. In fact the US Special Forces likes them so much that a few extra slicks are being converted to AC-130’s.
