I use an older design 80-200 f2.8L with a 1.4x Converter. Have been doing so for most of this year and I haven’t been dissapointed by the quality of my results, certainly on a par with seniors 100-400 a fair amount of the time. The only disadvantage is the smaller focal length which means it can be tough to get more distant pics.

I saw the mewgull parked outside but it didn’t fly in the time I was there. As for the Arrow Active I couldnt see any sign of it, maybe hidden away in a hangar?

Didn’t know that was still there. Is it a RAC machine or just a resident?

Thanks very much for those nice comments guys 🙂

One thing – I heard a rumour about a mystery plane in hanger 4 – supposed to be ultra rare and in Croatian markings…..Any ideas?

    Sorry I have no idea.

Mine is quite clear. It is of course the Panavia Tornado F3. I’ve always liked the way the F3 looks espescially with wings swept and fuel tanks on the wings. The reason I don’t say something like Lightning, Tomcat, SR71 etc.. is because I’ve never seen them fly (and never will most likely) and I cant completely like an aircraft until I’ve seen it doing what it was made to do.
