Did you hear about the vertical take off Mirage Balzac? It was powered with 8 Rolls Royce engines. But 2 lethal crashs were enough for this project..

“With the germans. Eads and Dassault have a arrangement. They work on UCAVs/UAVs together

Yes but it’s “EADS France”, i mean the Germans are not involved in the programme (like the French are not involved in the Eurofighter project). Germany didn’t say they are interested in an UCAV for its Air Force yet.

Edit: “UCAV that is, the GAF is looking for as a future replacement, similar to the French.

Ok that’s good, it would be better if they sign an official agreement.

The Tornado will be replaced around in 2020 like the mirage 2000.

The french air force wants UCAV ( with air to ground capacities) to mix with the Rafale fleet. It will be cheaper than a F35.

Dassault is working on it with Saab and greeks, why not the germans?

ps: Bums… My WMP only shows an audio track (no video) I like the music though. Maybe my RAR app messed it up?

Surely a problem with your video codec.

The RR fan diameter is 116 inches, and the GE/PW engine is 116.7 inches in diameter. The Trent 800 has a fan diameter of 110 inches. I can’t find the fan diameters for the GE-90 at the moment… but it’s probably going to be similar to the trent 800!

About 124 inches for the GE90.
