Bex… I’ve seen someone use a cnc machine to cut a part for a motorcycle restoration. They didnt even have an old part to get info from.

The used the diagrams/measurements available etc to reproduce the part and within two tries they were able to fit it. and produce more of the parts for other restorations.

In terms of aircraft restorations from wrecks most parts are replaced by fabricated new ones or old airworthy ones.. depending on how bad the wreck was and how much of it could be reused (it leads to the argument that nothing of the original is left but the data plate) This is not to say all restorations are like that.

I guess pretty much everything can be reproduced (and probably is)! and given that original diagrams etc are present they are utilised very well but top restorers around the country to reproduce parts (for Spitfires etc)

hehe.. JDK i know the shortcuts.. i meant that it just takes a while to copy each url from my msn space and then posting it on it here.. my pc is dead slow (thanks to me downloading LOST!) so bear with me. worse thing is i hate using IE and nowadays msn space won’t even let you upload pic unless u r using IE! 😡 I’ll post more soon 😮

ah thanks guys.. i tried one of the translators online and pulled something along the lines that it might be restored to airworthy.. something to look forward to i guess!
Also interesting how they’ve also mentioned the flight crew (as Arnold R. Blynn, George A. Chapman, Harold L. Brown, C. B. Wylie, Arthur G. W. Liddell, Frederick G. Wenham and Kenneth J. Ashmore) i’ve put the names down to help future forum searches.

Could there be a few Spitfires in amongst that lot? There’s a source in Australia who might be able to confirm this…..

Seen this and other pics on an another forum. No Spits i’m afraid.. someone ordered hi-res sat images of the co-ordinates and didn’t find anything noteworthy… but hey.. what lies underneath the rubble huh. like the Aghanistan recoveries! :rolleyes:

😮 you can’t be giving up like that! if it is of any significance then you should proceed with it quickly.If you have decided that its not worth pursuing maybe you should float the idea (without any details) of your discovery and see if any society or individual might be interested in partnering with you.

the blur is why would they take such a gamble.. because having more FSB defect would simply be unacceptable and a far greater threat than an international hit.

oh man.. not another one of these threads! why is it that people always want to be enlightened about someone else religion and discuss it to death. if you are that interested go and read the Koran or the Bible or the Talmud and get your views and answers from there. People use forums to incite hatred under the banner of discussion.
As for the growing Mosleum population of Mother Russia.. well its always been there!!! In communist Russia between 1922 to 1991 Religion was forbidden! i can’t believe people forget that! and a look into Russian history will tell that Islam has been in many parts from well before 1922.

some sources had already removed the swastikas and also my msn space code of conduct doesn’t allow it. I’m storing them there as they are available for everyone to see and at the same time safe from my hd deaths :p
