Well with the Bournemouth air festival running shortly after this we only need one in Southampton to fill the gap and everyone can come spend most of the month down on the south coast.
I do question the need for 2 large displays within almost visible distance of each other only a fortnight apart. Portsmouth is also a complete b*tch for parking and this is going to be a gridlocked nightmare. I can see trouble as well considering the number of dodgy housing estates in the area and the likelihood of plenty of alcohol being available in the vicinity of southsea common. This assessment I assure you has nothing to do with the fact that I grew up in Southampton and now live near Bournemouth 🙂
I will go but I think arriving by sea makes more sence.
Thanks for the info, i’ll see what they have!

Thanks for the pointer, I have looked at that site in the past but I am hoping some different and higher quality images may come to light.

As for the chaps comment about inventing technology through the development of their braking system that could be used to transport cars at hundreds of miles per hour…….. Unless I’m very much mistaken that’s just maglev and has been around for years and has nothing to do with them or their brakes.

While you have to admire the get up and go of these people the thrust SSC and bloodhound teams do make them look like a load of blokes tinkering in a shed at the weekend. I particularly love the finalising of the aerodynamic configuration by means of a marker pen drawing on a White board!
Having said all that it doesn’t mean they won’t succeed but any record they set won’t last long 🙂

I offered him £1500. I will be amazed if it doesn’t crumble when moved. I hope not but anyone that has been to see it will realise just what a mess it is. All very sad.

Last time I spoke to the owner of the Bucc he wanted £30k so i assume he would accept an offer in the high 20’s. It is sat a Bournemouth in the European area and has not really moved for a while. Looks nice but its out in the open with not so much as a cover over the canopy.
Quite correct, thank you!
Many thanks Bruce!
Just a quick bump in the hope that someone has contact details for Peter Woods. I promise I wont do it again!
