Hi, a photo from Tom Cooper was published some time ago on International Air Power Review on my article about the Tucanos. Also it was published on the Brazilian magazine Asas. The only country with no good Tucano pics is Iraq.

Hi

Iraqi Airforce received six Cessna O-1 Bird Dog in 1951. as reconnaissance aircraft for artillery .

now there is enough reconnaissance aircraft in air force . IQAF need to real combat aircraft like F-16 of AH-64

Too bad that he’s against making it to public. I know about you taking some of pics from “My Times in Iraq”?? I can’t think of its name very well as that was a long time ago.;)

The owner seems to have worked on downsizing all the pics at his discretion, making them look rather worse than it were used to be.

According to what l learned from some sources on internet, Yak-11 was falsely listed as being sold to Iraq, instead of citing Iraq properly as one of recipients for Yak-18. That’s so confusing as it is !!!

Maybe you can help me with ex-iraqi SA-330 Puma helicopter, instead.

None of it appeared in print whereas I saw many an ex-iraqi gazelle flying around on photo.:diablo:

Dear many of these pictures I was post it here from 3 years ago .
all these pictures was take in AL Anbar province .especially near AL Qadssyia AB near Hadetha .
Iraqi airforce never recieved Yak-11 .but in 1962 IrAF get 18 Yak-18 .I’ve some pictures for this aircraft but I can’t post it now because I don’t have approval to pulishing from the owner of this pictures .

Hi

Below two pictures for Paf Su-22 with IRF probe.the Iraqi Su-22 that modify is the same type and probe.the Paf take this modification from Iraqies.and used the same probe of Mirage F-1 in his Su-22.

LOO CLOSLEY AT THE PICTURE;
1.this air show was done in 1989 in al-muthana aiport in central baghdad i was there
2.saddam walking with the commander of the military industry next to him and the guy pointing is hussien kamal his son in law and minister of industry then

3. look at the falcon the nose cone is to change how the plane looks like and they named it somthing else i even dont remember what

4. all this for show the plane never flew with that thing on it

5. those 2 falcons were target towing falcons infact back in 1987 i fired matra magic A/A which was wired to my Mig-25 on a target towed by one of them in the western desert off H3

the pictures of Falcon 50 here was part of videos for airshow in 1987 in Al-Muthana airport .I have this video.
Baghdad military exhibition in 1989 in AL-Muthana airport for airshow and in Baghdad exhibition for other military equipment from April 28 to May 2
this aircraft is the only one of that type IrAF.the main duty for this craft is training several Mirage pilots in one trip in real anti-ship and air to ground strik.this craft was fully equiped as F-1 .even ejection-seat and electronic suit.

Hi, I remember that I heard somewhere that Iraq did the same modification on a SU-22 like it did on a or some Mig23BN, I’m talking about the MirageF1 refuelprobe. Does somebody know more about this?

yes dear IrAF modify one Su-22 with IFR probe of Mirage F-1 and this was successful modification.this aircraft presented in army parade 1990 .and it was refueling from Mirage F-1 and there video for that but unfortunately I don’t have it.before 1991 war there is small number of Su-22 fleet modified with this probe.I hope that I can get picture for this craft sooner.
