Spitfire MK IX TA 805 ‘The Kent Spitfire’ circled round twice, very low over my work near Sevenoaks today at around 4PM ish. Good to hear that merlin again! It hasnt been out and about much this year and wasnt a Legends either.

They wouldlike to attend legends if they were asked, but speaking to them, the powers that be who organise the even want the ‘foreign’ birds to come over rather than see this fine bird. Id love to see PM’s spit at legends and like to see it more than twice a year. I hoped it would’ve been at shoreham, but it wasnt 🙁

How about 1200 when the flight line walk closes? That way we can all walk the flight line and get our static photos then get together (to complain about the idiots who insist in getting in front of you when they can see you are lining up a shot – them and the step ladder brigade).

This is what i suggested as it worked very well with the bollero meet last year. Having the flightline all to yourself is always nice.

Also what time are we meeting as there is a diecast forum meet at 10.30-11.

Or the A380? That definately has winglets.

Could it have been a modified KC-10? the only other AC that i know of that may have winglets is the E-3 Sentury but that has a huge dome and he would have noticed that.

For the bolero 2 meet we met just in front of the entrance to the flightline. That way there was enough space and the guard could see how many to let through for a free pass and a photo. If only we could organise a meet to coinside with a photo with the 3 17’s. Perhaps someone could pull a few strings and get us in front of LB? Someone on here must be able to do that ? 🙂

Sounds good to me, we had one last year for the ballero with miss velma where we got on to flight line and had a photo taken with the group and the pilot in front of her. Got a great shap of it that one of the guys posted

Re the SOK Spit, i spoke to derek on the stall and he said they werent asked this year. Also it had an oil leak so couldnt fly anyway with the new on the table ready for installation. Clive over did it apparently :-). I asked would it fly at legends but the reply was if they want us yes but they tend to go for the foreign ones first.
