Russia was mentioned, but they did ‘vaguely’ threaten to respond to Belgian F-16s patroling Slovak airspace, accoording to the BBC this morning.

Surely the USAF losing an F-117A to a Serbian SAM is a result of not having fully effective SEAD ops.

I think in future conflicts, perhaps the only threat to NATO aircraft will be from SAMs, the Air to Air threat will become smaller, so I don’t really undersatnd why the MOD is not funding a ‘full-time’ EF-3 force. Can anbody explain that?

What about the USAF F-15C? What is it’s role now there is a minimal air to air threat. EF-15 anyone, a true replacment for the EF-111A
