@Y-20 Bacon,
That is a very, very bold claim and one I don’t buy into. Past, and current experience pretty much proves Yakovlev don’t have as much experience.
Also, there’s no point blaming the demise of the USSR for the fate of the Yak-38. The UK were also going through major defence cuts when the Harrier was in development.
faulty analogy.
demise of USSR occurred over 20 years after the first flights of the harrier and Yak-38 program which are rooted in the 60s.
UK had the benefit of an economy that allowed it to further develop the harrier to fix its flaws until today.
Yakovlev used the experience to build the super vstol fighter, the Yak-141, which is superior to the Harrier in every performance parameter.
yes you are right, Yakovlev had/has better experience than Hawker Siddley/Bae in making stvol combat aircraft. what limited the forger in seeing great growth like harrier was the demise of the USSR
Out of Interest, how come no ones talking about the Czech L-159? is that out and out for France? Should have been a good option, apart from the point made strongly about the Hawk. Another Anglo-French collaboration should show interesting results like the Jaguar.
its a plane made with 1970’s philosophy. no one wants it other than the Czech government.
Or to a barber’s shop.
Rock on dude !

could you make a better light fighter than Gripen? post it here
You do realize that these for next generation PW/MTU geared engines. it has no competition with current generation airplanes.
and they still surpassed them! wow.
South Africa should get C-2s instead. at least that’s being purchased by some one.
another option,
Herkus for Rafales with Turkey cuz the French love turkeys
France should do a Mistral for Yak-130 deal
Wait a minute, wasn’t the US complaining about hacking? So its actually doing the hacking with the US NSA. That sounds pretty hypocritical no?
because China is better at it than the US duh.

China #1, US #2
Yes I am serious.
since no one bothered to correct your ignorance, here you go

Yes I am serious.
I don’t know whether to laugh or cry, good thing for you Frankvw was reading this thread
According to some rumours, this JH-X design is the losing contender for the H-X program ( pity if you ask me -if true). This flying wing is the other contender, subsonic, 3500km combat radius, following dimensions: twin-seater, length 21.32 meters, wingspan: 26.88 m, height: 4.12 m, main bomb bay: 9 m x 2.5 m, side bomb bay: 5.2 m x 1.8 m
I wonder if Paralay, when you have time, can you do your magic ( drawings) with this one as well ?:) ( i know it’s more difficult as we have no idea of the top configuration)

did they decide to make a manned version of the X-47? lol
Simply gorgeous…

was there ever a phantom with a one piece windshield?
now as for beautiful and retro..

T-50? You mean the PAKFA?
are you serious?
Yes definitely should be included. You are right, in many ways the LCA is just like the gripen and in fact potentially uses more composites.
Maybe we should also include the FCK1 which is being upgraded.
please stop swearing 🙂
if we include the ching kuo, then that would be heads ovr jf-17, t-50, and tejas because of its longer established history.
