Hearty congratulations young sir. Make the most of her being a baby as they grow up far too quickly. You just start enjoying the being babies when they stop being babies. When she’s a teenager and starts brining boyfriends home you’ll think that it was only five minutes ago she was a little baby.

    Thanks Mike.
Shes just arrived home after the stay at the hospital and kept us awake last night:rolleyes: She cried like a jet fighter on high rpm.But youre right they grow up too quickly.Perhaps I take her to Shuttleworth and Duxford one day;)

    Wish you a merry christmas.

Thank you very much for that advice, Scanor – now I know what to buy in the January sales! With the price of camera equipment here in Sweden, it’ll be worth me flying over to the UK, unless I can find a lens on the Internet instead!
God Jul och Gott Nytt År till dig och alla andra Nordbor på forumet!

Tack Tack Papa Lima Merry X-mas 😀

Congratulations LN, to have a baby just before Xmas is a magical experience, it really makes it a special day and like no other that has gone before.
I waited till my son was 18 months old before he went to his first airshow, just make sure it hasn’t got any noisy jets.
By then he could walk and garble volumes, one of his favourite toys was a Matchbox Tornado, great, we took him to Wethersfield, he sat happily in his baby seat with the toy Tornado and when we parked up, a real Tornado was waiting for take off at the end of the runway at the time, woo hoo how exciting, I’m seeing one for the first time.
The mood changed when it took off in full reheat, lots of tears and screams I’m afraid.
I took a little tent with me to keep him out the sun, luckily for me, as every time a jet appeared, he hid in it, even from the sublime VC-10.
As he got older, I think that airshows became more of a source of funfair rides and toy stalls, rather than the flying part, he’s now 22 and at uni, had some great flying experiences including circumnavigating Kilimanjairo in a light aircraft, but I’m afraid he’d rather go clubbing than airshowing.
Have a fantastic Christmas with baby.
    All the best, Pete.

Thanks Pete for sharing your memories an experiences. Some of the guys in Warbirds of Norway has younger children so hopefully (and maybe) they will become interested in old aeroplane. We lives near Kjeller airport(ENKJ) and having opportunities to watch helicopters, warbirds, and commercial jets from our flat.:D

At Kjeller I will put the ear protection on her when the F 16s starts their displays. Thanks for the tip

I wish you a merry christmas

I found a picture of Tryggve Gran taken from Buc,France in 1914. On the left side of the engine cowling on his Bleriot there is a little wind driven propeller. It seems that his Bleriot named “Nordsjøen” had one during his flight from Cruden Bay to Norway 30th of july 1914

    Or…..

A war trophy from the Germans??

    Or…………

From a Maurice Farman Shorthorn ???

I tried the AK 47 tree times during my peace keeping days in Soutern Lebanon. It impressed me compared to the M-16.I tried both weapons at the same time near our position. It was fun to fire the most famous assault rifle in the world:D.
