Also, is there not boats etc on the Thames? Im sure London City Airport Tower is going to love having to provide a service to ensure safe landing on the thames or will another dedicated atc service be set up?

By looking at the picture looks like the flights will be from the LCY Dock as that looks like the only place on the Thames they can land. Cant wait for it and hope it last longer then that …[cough] Damn looks like I have your cough;) :rolleyes: 😀

Friday coming, 27th Apr. The BBC are doing a live broadcast from BBMF. It will probably be on the news throughout the day a bit like the last report they did on 474.

Yeah that would be brilliant but where can they put a veiwing area? :confused: ,They are opening the Visitor center again I think.

This is brilliant news hope it goes ahead and they dont stop it ,Then I will be able to go plane spotting at LGW again:D

just going a little off topic… sorry..

but… the 747 at Dunsfold..

Sadly now a relic of the past, this former BA 747-236B resides at Dunsfold Park for use as a film prop/set.

One thing to add… its going to be intresting shortly as Dunsfold Park has now been sold and the site is to be covered by a housing devlopment..

Im going to miss Dunsfold Park and its airshow:( I thought it was an ex Air Atlanta Europe :confused: Seems stupid to take SRB out as its not the full film have they taken out the VS and CSA?

It is about the BBMF 50th. It will also be live on BBC on the 27th Apr when the Lancaster gets unveiled. Airtest is planned for Tuesday AM weather permitting. RTU Coningsby PM. Thats the last update I will be able to give as I am off to Coventry after a quick stop home to get clean clothes.

Is it this friday as Ive not seen anything in the TV-mag?

Oh love the LCY shots it has to be one off the best airports in the world. Like the KLC F50 and the SAS Bae 146:cool:
