Yes cant wait to see that running have it double header with Manston or 34059 Sir Archibald Sinclair
Thanks James,
There are numerous airworthy JPs and Strikemasters at Weald, the Catalina is due to ferried back to US at some stage, the poor old Douglas DC4 and C54 are up for sale but as far as I know haven’t had an engine run for many years now.
Septic.
Shame you dont see many JPs and Strikemasters at airshows could make a display team out off them, What did it come here for then the Catalina as I not seen it on the airshow circuit or fly that sad about the Douglas DC4 and C54 is it Aces high that owns them??
Lee have the RNHF got a new chippy or just borrowed one
James
Stringfellow proved that steam and flight don’t really go together, hours stood in cold wet fields in January waiting for some lump of metal to go past when I’d rather be anywhere else put me off for life, at least at airshows you get to see plenty of aircraft at any one time and the weather in generally tolerable.:dev2:
What about Steam galas 😉
If we can build brand new Steam locos (Tornado) then we could do it to a Wellington ??
Cant wait to see her now hopefully she be added to the 2011 team, though will there be another aircraft going to duxford next year??
Cheers
James
